Spei sipped the tea that Richtersveld had offered him, deep in thought (though not thinking about where she had procured the tea from; that had gotten lost in the midst of everything else). The Cauldron… It sounded to him like a kind of stasis place, if starseeds went there after someone died and came from when someone was born. He didn't quite identify his starseed as him directly, even though the Code placed great importance on it. And this Cosmos person protected it apparently. So many different players in this war – he needed a scorecard. "The Senshi sound like good allies to have," he said with a nod. "Sounds like they have strengths we don't, and we have strengths they don't." He absorbed the structure of the two factions, committing them to memory. "Sounds like each individual has strengths the others don't. Good for teaming up, I suppose. And it makes sense to me that each step in the progression would become stronger, right?" "What about the Chaos agents? You mentioned generals – I take it they have a military-like structure?" If they did, if they were more organized than the factions on the side of Order, then they were dangerous foes indeed. "This is good tea," he mused, sipping contentedly.

Richtersveld was always faintly amused by the newer knights who questioned her subspace pocket tea and those who didn't. The lack of questioning that Spei opted for and simply sipping his offered tea instead made her giggle into her own cup quietly, but she said nothing to disturb his thoughts. "I think they are," she agreed, honestly, even though she wasn't terribly close with many of them. She knew that at least a few attended her practice as Dr. Mjoli, at the very least. Dr. Mjoli had worked herself into becoming a sympathetic ear for Order, and she managed to contact a few different senshi who had taken advantage of that. "And that's correct, I think. We're better at things that the senshi aren't as good at -- our better general strength matches for the agents so far as I can tell, for example, whereas their strength usually does not. Meanwhile, the senshi are very in tune with magic and can produce powerful effects." Powerful effects their own magic seemed had no help of even holding a candle to-- "Oh! Yes, they do." Richtersveld looked away from Spei for a moment as she pondered. "Dressed like it, too, in military-like uniforms almost universally. Their progression is like lieutenant, captain, general. So if you hear someone refer to General anything, at your stage?" She bit her lip. "I would recommend not joining."

Spei shook his head vigorously. "Oh no, I have absolutely no intention of engaging the Negaverse in anything but conversation. Maybe. I mostly plan to just turn around and head the other direction if I run into any of them." He mimed walking with his fingers as he spoke. "I was told not to get into any fights, at least not until I get stronger, which I presume means until I become a Squire." He intended to obey that admonition too. "Still, I imagine I should learn how to defend myself at some point, like some kind of martial art or something. I mean, even if I don't want to fight, I'm sure there'll be someone on the other side who does." The Moon Page pondered this as he finished his tea. Yes, learning some kind of martial art might not be a bad idea. Maybe aikido – he'd heard his dad refer to aikido as 'the art of getting out of the way', and that sounded appealing. Time for some research once he got back home. Handing the teacup back to Richtersveld, he gave her a smile. "Thank you so much for all the information. And the tea, it was just what I needed. Can you think of anything else I might need to know? It's hard to learn something when you don't know what questions to ask."

There was a bit of a relief, there, that Spei intended on not engaging. Some newer knights took their new mission a bit too extreme and didn't even train themselves properly before charging into battle, and that always made Richtersveld cringe. That was how more of them ended up dead, or simply corrupted into the Negaverse's ranks with no memory of the alternative. "Oh, absolutely. Some of the Negaverse go straight for blood--or even worse, a starseed--and you have to be ready to defend yourself. Getting into some martial arts isn't a bad idea. At your stage, I would also recommend perhaps getting some running training as a civilian." Richtersveld's smile was rueful. "I also might recommend getting some first aid knowledge. That would allow you to help any injured members of our side you come across." Richtersveld had extensive training in first aid, but she didn't necessarily expect that of everyone. Just... ways to save lives. She hummed quietly at the question of if he should know anything else... "Tell me, have you been to your wonder yet?" Richtersveld put forth her left hand, showing off the small ring that she kept on her finger. "Have you found your signet ring?"

"No, I haven't," Spei said with a small shake of his head. "Should I have been? I can feel my Wonder… calling me, I think. There's a phrase that keeps resonating in my head… This is the first time I've done this since the Code… did its thing," and he plucked at the jacket of the outfit he now wore. "Which wasn't all that long ago, actually, just a few days." Leaning closer, he looked at the ring on Richterveld's finger. "No, I don't have one of those either. Are they just a ring? I'm guessing not," he smirked gently. "Nothing about this is just what it seems to be. Cat people, magical people who protect entire planets, a military force we're at war with… there's so much I'm just learning about. Thank you again for your patience with me. I'm such a n00b." To emphasize this, he made the time-honored L-for-Loser sign over his forehead. "So, martial arts, check – will look into studios. And running, check – will start going for runs during the day. Or hmm, maybe I'll look into parkour."

A few days... he was new, but she hadn't quite realized he was that new. She was glad she had gotten to him long before anyone else had, especially before anyone of the Negaverse had gotten to him. They were good at their words, and if they were not inclined to murder, there was a reason why they had lost so many to them, even willingly. "You should probably go. As knights, it is where our piece of the Code lives," so far as she had been told, anyway. She wasn't entirely sure if it worked the same for the Moon Knights, who had their own living Code on their planet--or moon, as it were. "And it's also where the signet rings are found." She gestured to the ring, tracing the Plutonian symbol on it. "By stamping notes we make with someone's name on it, we can send stuff to them, instantly. I also understand that some knights have upgraded rings that can interface with senshi's phones..." Richtersveld hadn't gotten to that point, yet, but she imagined it had something to do with the Mauvians... "Oh, parkour would be a good idea! That would get you more ready to handle whatever the agents decide to throw at you, too, if you can lift and leap and dodge easily."

Spei nodded as he listened to Richtersveld. "So the ring is like text messaging, except with notes. Cool. I'll definitely have to visit my Wonder and look for it. And meet the Code piece that lives there." He was starting to look forward to visiting his Wonder and seeing what was there. Maybe he could try visiting after he got home that evening, respond to that call he felt and listen to the mantra in his head. And upgraded rings! He hoped his ring was one of those. Had to have the latest technology, after all, even as a Page. "Okay, I'll look for a parkour studio. That sounds like fun anyway." He wondered if he could handle both a martial art and parkour; probably best to pick one or the other, truth be told. He snorted a soft laugh as he mused. He was going to be one busy guy. Suddenly he felt the faintest hint of something weird and unpleasant in the back of his mind. "Uh, I think I should probably leave," he said, looking around. "I feel one of those inklings…."

Richtersveld giggled. "Yeah, basically. Like really old-fashioned text messaging, except instant like modern day text messaging." Admittedly, she had sent a couple of messages to Zotsholo and Nemyi that way when she couldn't be arsed to take out her phone. Her signet ring was always on her, after all, and she usually had something to write on... "And yeah! Maybe your Code piece has some insight on where to find it, even..." It was a bit different for Moon Knights, after all, with the very present on their planet--or moon--code being the one who could tell them what to do. Maybe he could also tell him where to find things... Oh. Oh, she felt it, too, and while she was probably equipped to deal with it-- "Good idea. When you have your signet ring, shoot me a message, alright? Want to make sure you're alright." Richtersveld shot him a nervous smile. "And seek out a senshi and a Mauvian if you can. Probably good to know our allies, right?" She encouraged Spei to get up. "Now, get out of here and be safe, okay?"

"I will," Spei nodded as he stood. "The instant I find my ring, I'll text you. I'll head to my Wonder as soon as I get home and look for it. And I'll look for a Senshi and a Mauvian too. I see a lot of talking to cats in my future." Reaching out, he took her hand in his. "Thank you for everything, Richtersveld. You've been so kind and helpful. I now feel ready to face whatever this has in store for me." He gave her a rare smile. "You be safe too. I really hope this Chaos thing that's out there tonight isn't anything too dangerous." The Moon Page stepped back from his companion and looked around, just to make sure it was still safe. Then he took off in a long, loping run for the shadows of the nearby buildings. Seiana_Zi we can fin there, or you can close it out! thank you so much for the RP! heart
