"Yuuri, honestly--" and it must've been fine, right? To gently squeeze a woolen coated shoulder, smooth the wrinkle he left with his thumb. Yuuri was so easy to be near like this, warm as noon and calm as early dawn; Reed couldn't've asked for anyone better to share his fragile bits of hope with. "I've spent a lifetime being boring, being safe, if taking up a little bit of risk for you is reckless? Well, what's the harm in it."

He couldn't see any. Sighed for his own lack of foresight, the way everything 20/20 hit like a truck while his brief peeks into the future lacked clarity. He supposed it'd be fine....

There was enough technology and magic flowing around that someway, somehow? There had to be a workup. What else were aliens for?

"Besides, you've far more worth than you realize, even without your magic as a factor. The Negaverse values you, you spend too much time up on a stage being thrust about as 'sacrificial lamb' for it to not....but even if it didn't? I do, surely you must--" happless wandering where his words failed and he shrugged, as if it was obvious that Yuuri could be helpful just by -- well -- by being? Sunshine a secondary need, the Senshi seemed full of ideas, benign enough to soundboard off back and forth positively -- most importantly? He was sure Yuuri must have been around just long enough to tell him if his ideas were crock and bull -- without making him feel a complete fool for it.

I know -- and the thought could exist unspoken, expressed only in a brief nod and with the slightest increase of pressure where his arms were loped about Yuuri's form. There was something relieving about sitting there in the quiet, letting the breeze go by and take all his unspoken sentiment with it---

It mattered. Yuuri mattered, and all the words in the world couldn't have begun to express what actions could equal tenfold. Better to simply show it, then, and bring the little sunshine into a far less ominous plan for once; to do something nice, something beneficial to others without having to take on some grand risk? Instead of barreling into the Rift as bait, or going up against foes mightier than entire armies.
