If Luke didn't actually like being an accountant, Ignacio could have seen him doing that in a heartbeat. "Maybe a few bigger stoves," he snickered, "and a professional kitchen."

Or at least something more like a setup that would have suited a soup kitchen--

He wasn't convinced she was okay -- and considering what she had told him and what she had been through, of course she wasn't -- but he was convinced she was feeling a bit better. That was good. Ignacio was relieved that he had at least helped that much, that what he was saying to her was helpful-- "It is weird. And it's a lot. A lot has changed and you have to retrace everything and adjust to the new reality, and that's okay."

He let her stay leaned up against him, closing his eyes for a moment and leaning his head back against the nearest counterspace.

Ignacio let out a deep breath before he glanced back down at her with a grin. "Look, I would also be sad if candy was inaccessible. Listen. If you play your cards right, you might even be able to get Luke and Garber to compete to make a bunch of candy. Because they know how to make some." He was speaking like someone who had definitely played that game before.

He may have also liked his junk food.

"Also now I think I want a mac-and-cheese cup..."

"True." He snickered. "I mean, I'm not the best cook, but I'd help," Ignacio wouldn't say no if Luke asked but he might pout for a few minutes. He wasn't the worst cook in the world by any means, but he had never really enjoyed it, either, not in the way that other people seemed to.

... especially not in the way Luke seemed to ...

Ignacio nodded eagerly at the mention of them making candy, and admittedly, the idea of Livie joining in brought him more delight. Not only was he certain they would teach her without question, but that also meant more good sweets for him to steal. "They make it look easy, too. I mean, they basically take over the entire kitchen when they do it, and from what I understand even the weather conditions have to be right that day, so it's a lot, but I bet they'd teach you if you asked. Then you can make sweet things."

He paused, and then added, leaning into the joke, "like nectar."

He totally should, but she wasn't moving, and he also wasn't inclined to make her move. "In a bit, probably." An excuse to let her stay until she wanted to get up. "Maybe I'll make one while I go get some makeup wipes..."

"You know, I bet you could," he pursed his lips. Obviously, he personally had no idea how to, but he was fairly sure he had seen honeysuckle candy on like, Etsy before...

She was standing up, and remarking on the fact that he had just gotten home from work, and he laughed sheepishly as he moved to pull himself off the ground, too. "It's fine. Late-night shoot. Best for cinematography to film anything at night actually at night as it turns out." He was tired, and the more he thought about it, the more tired he felt, but that was alright. Making sure she was okay was more important than maybe getting another half-hour of sleep than he would have otherwise.

Ignacio had a tendency of going at all times of day anyway.

And she was doing better, from the way she was smiling. From the way she admitted she could breathe a bit better.

"Of course. Any time, alright?" Ignacio gave her an arm hug once more before pulling back, trying to remember which cabinet the mac-and-cheese cups were in -- ah! that one!

He looked back at her and offered a softer smile of his own.

"And I mean that."
