“You’re such a goof.” Protested Chrysanthe though she couldn’t help flushing at the compliment. “We’ll have to visit with Tyri one final time before we leave for Matori. She wants to meet with you if you have time this week.” They would be leaving in about eight days which gave the crew plenty of time to enjoy themselves before the next venture. The biggest break would be upon their return when they docked again and Ephrym took Chrysanthe to see his family. That would be almost a year break which the crew could thankfully afford thanks to their last haul.

“That’s fine. I would like to speak with Tyri before asking you another question later.” Advised Ephrym with a nod. “I can make the time.” Tyri was like Chrysanthe’s mother in Belrea and so he knew that the woman’s opinion was very important to his companion. He would most definitely make time for her and try to get her blessing.

“Why do you seem so eager?” Chrysanthe pulled away so that she could study Ephrym thoughtfully. “What are you planning?” Was he up to something? Trying to get some embarrassing stories or woo Tyri out of something? She was most definitely suspicious of him now.

“Something wonderful I promise.” Ephrym chuckled. “I’ll have to stop by the jewelry eventually if that says enough for you. I know you don’t like flashy things but since we’re together I would prefer to seal the deal. Do I need to ruin the actual surprise?” He teased even though his proposal was fairly obvious. If he tried to be super romantic then surely Chrysanthe would maim him out of sheer embarrassment, but should something happen to him again he wanted to make certain Chrysanthe was fully in charge of his assets. He would not be leaving his family without anything, that was for certain. “Let’s go look at my room, I made a few changes and we can catch up with each other.” He grinned and gestured for her to follow him before turning and leaving the room. The proposal would come soon enough and he truly hoped Chrysanthe would be happy with it.

“N-no. That’s alright.” Replied Chrysanthe quietly, her cheeks flushing as she easily pieced together his intentions. She had never expected him to make such a move, but at the same time it wasn’t upsetting. If anything it was touching that she was so important to him that he was willing to suggest such a commitment. Her lips curled upwards into a soft smile at the thought as she pushed forward to follow him into the captain’s quarters.
