He took a deep shuddering breath and kissed her on the tip of her cute little nose.
"You should know...that I love you." His heart squeezed when he said it. For some reason even now that she admitted to wanting kids with him, leaving himself that vulnerable by saying those three words terrified him.
He felt like there was not enough air in the cave.

She smiled so brightly. He had said it! So now she could as well.
"I love you too Ushiwa, I think a part of me has ever since the cherry grove, but I could not trust you yet, my past has made me overly wary of strangers and no one could begrudge me that after loosing my parents."
She was getting small flash backs of memory occassionaly now. Things that made her scream in the night and she wasn't sure if the void that had once been there would not be better than the truth.
But now she didn't have to face any of that alone.

His heart soared until he felt like he was flying over the top of the cliff and not burrowed into the base of it as they were.
"Thank you for trusting me, it is the best companions that take the longest to earn their trust." That was something that training wild animals had taught him.
He had more than a little wildness in himself and he suspected that the wildness in her had attracted him just as much as those great yellow eyes and the saucy personality beneath had.

"Hush now, or you will ruin the moment." She pulled his head down for a more serious kiss and with one toe, nudged the stew off of the fire so that it would not burn, she reasoned that they would be hungry later.
Malibu and Cerean were curled in a heap snoring together for warmth both being native to considerably warmer climates than this. The little colorful growths strewn about their bodies were sleeping sailscales.

He hushed, and the wind howled long into the night....
The stew was saved and much later he put it back over the flames to cook again.
It turned out to be deliscious and they stayed in Sauti for four days, enjoying each other's company and the frolicking of the sailscales in their ancestral home.
They returned home with their spirits restored and Ushi was thinking perhaps about building them a home somewhere near to or on his parents property, perhaps in the quiet part at the back by the sea.
