i just finished playing it a few hours ago. in the end i missed 10 SoD ~_~;;
oh well, playing it a second time is better anyway.
i found the controls a bit slow though. But when i got to fight the first time... i wanted to cry -- WELCOME BACK SUIKODEN! xd even the music is reminiscent to GS1 and 2. This is what suikoden should be and I'm happy Konami gave it back to us.

The Missing Linx Is there a board like in part 4 somewhere in the HQ that shows how many SoDs have joined? yup. like in gs1 and 2, you'll see the names of your current SoD in 2 huge stone tablets on the top floor of your castle -- the only thing missing there is Luc, heh 3nodding

Its all about Roy! and i'm stuck in the twilight forest D: i got in, but i cant get out!! *cries* Stupid _____ had to go and _______ the poor Prince and ______ *censors the rest* arghs. made me mad! I like Roy too... especially with his new found fondness for a certain bodyguard, heh wink and yeah, the deep twilight forest was frustrating. I had to use a guide for that one. The problem is, we just can't see the paths very well so we tend to follow those that we do see and those usually spit us right back out sweatdrop The Missing Linx Richard is so strong~ lol! gah, i missed that one too... along with the maximillian knights, the lunas people and a few others. my other fav character -- viki ofcourse! max her chain magic and magic skills, and equip her with Thunder, Cyclone or Pale gate rune and you get high damage magic x2. YAY! xd

it came out march 21, i believe. i was browsing around the net -- i knew it was supposed to be out by march 28 -- but when i passed by konami.com, they said it was already out.

what i liked most about GS5 is that it really connected the returning characters to the other suikodens -- like Viki who now remembers more than she ever did than in the previous games (i.e. she realized how many times she met jeanne and how familiar your castle is since it really looks like toran castle of GS1, and even suggesting that magical place where you could just forget).
Lorelai's transition to a younger self was the best. I was laughing my a** off when Zweig kept suggesting how dense she was without her realizing it -- and her issue with Killey was just hilarious. Jeanne's connection to Zerase just added more mystery to her true nature.
Makes me wonder what will be instore for us in GS6 -- which will be in PS3 since Konami already announced that GS5 will be the last of the series in PS2 console.
