Sensual. Ah. Yes. Of course that was something associated with slow saxophone music, wasn't it? Of course Pendour hadn't even thought about that until it was brought up, directly. Now that it was, though, she pressed her lips slightly together and thought it over. "I think it will be okay," she said, "Even if you play something like Careless Whispers. Maybe an agent will ask something about why you're playing Careless Whispers instead of going straight to asking about why you're invading the Earth, and then you can start a conversation from there?" It wasn't something that would work on all of them, especially not the very broken ones, but it was something that Pendour would have been willing to try. Even if he did lean more into the romantic side of things and try to charm people, that might be okay. Pendour wasn't about to suggest it. That was all up to him, but the thought did cross her mind. "The Neptune Knight I'm closest with has a harp," she added, "And I think I saw someone with a violin, once? I don't know that we all have them, but it seems common enough." She glanced up towards the sky for a moment, with the wistful expression that always came to her face as she thought about space. "It's a big part of the culture on Neptune from what I can tell. When you go up there, you'll see."

He saw the way her expression shifted and snickered quietly. Suppose she hadn't thought of that-- "Honestly, might give that a shot. Something like Careless Whisper would be a hilarious contrast to this, wouldn't it?" He lifted the saxophone to his lips, played a couple of beginning notes, and then lowered it with a laugh. "Not what someone would expect to hear when going for a fight." Also, he was totally the type to suggest that instead of doing what they were doing, they could instead do-- He'd keep that to himself, though. Huh. Alright. Maybe he was more of a Neptunian soul than he thought if they were all musical like that. Guess that might explain why the saxophone he was holding was just about the only thing he had ever taken to besides interacting with people, learning people, and taking a damn nap. Violins, ocarinas, harps, saxophones -- maybe it wasn't all of them, but it was certainly enough to be a pattern... He followed her gaze upward, pursing his lips. "Music's obvious up there? I've only been once, long enough to get this," he flashed his signet ring, the only reason why he had the misfortune of knowing how to get to those generators in the first place, "but it was mostly just dark. Was lucky I had my phone on me." Dark and surrounded with water-- "I imagine yours is different? Amphitheatre maybe?"

Pendour couldn't help it. When Abzu actually started playing Careless Whispers, the laugh just bubbled out of her, and she kept giggling and smiling even as he cut the song short. Of course there had been some instinct deep in Pendour's chest where she wanted to like this man the very second she'd seen that he was connected to the same planet that she was. It was nice as nice to see that he was funny, and sweet, and that she actually liked him. "Can you teach me how to play that?" she asked, still smiling, because she also had the feeling that even if she had been the fighting type, it wouldn't be nearly as easy to focus on attacking someone if there was music like that in the air. Pendour, of course, was always interested in trying any nonviolence tactics that she could. "And it's not just an amphitheater, there's this cove, and a little town, and all these nice things. There is a pavilion as one of the main features, though, with a stage and all. It's impressive." Her eyes sparkled as she added, "I can always show you sometime."

Good, she was laughing. Hearing her giggles widened Abzu's charming smile. Seeing others happy and relaxed was his general preference and so far as he pushed for things, that was the type of thing he pushed for. He'd keep the flirty tendencies down -- had a feeling those might miss the mark with the way she hadn't thought of the sexy elements of slower saxophone music -- but friendly? He could do friendly all day, especially with someone as pleasant as her. Hopefully, all the Neptunians had these vibes... "Teach?" Michelangelo had never been much of a teacher, but he could make some exceptions when it came to teaching his favorite things. He eyeballed the ocarina first, starting with, "Well, the fact that you have a woodwind instrument is a good start -- this is a woodwind too," he held up the saxophone, adding with some amusement, "even if a lot of people mistake it for a brass instrument, so a lot of things should be pretty easy to translate." He grinned. "Let me look up some things about how that translates into ocarina. Bet it exists." Abzu winked. "Or I can figure it out." Abzu was quite confident in himself. Cove sounded cool too, though the performer in him was definitely taken with the idea of a pavilion. "And alright, bet. I'd love to see that pavilion, for one. Maybe you can show me what Neptune is other than pitch darkness." He had also heard the sounds of water and in relation with her having a cove and them both having seashells on their uniform... Huh. "...Is Neptune a water planet?"

"It's good you got that ring, then," said Pendour, the soft, easy smile glued to her face now, "Because we're going to have to meet up again, aren't we? One day, when I can go up to Neptune and you've had time to look into the song?" She could imagine them sitting by the cove, watching the waterfall while she listened to his easy jokes. She could bring cookies, or maybe cupcakes. The baking lessons with her brother were going well enough that she trusted herself not to burn them. Maybe instead, they could go up to the dusty pavilion and fill it with music for the first time in a thousand years. "I haven't actually been to any wonders besides my own up on Neptune, and like I said, there's only the one other knight that I'm close to, but yes, it's all water from what I can tell. I don't know if we all have instruments, but we all have ties to the sea." At least, they all wore shells and scales in the colors of waves breaking across sand, and her own wonder was aquatic enough.

If there was one thing Abzu loved -- well, besides relaxing and napping -- it was performing. The idea of exploring some foreign stage was in some ways delightful and also seemed considerably less unnerving than whatever his place on Neptune was. He hadn't run into any stages yet, for one, not that he could see anything other than what his phone had lit up-- "Ah, right, these send messages, right?" He hadn't tried it -- nor had he seen a Mauvian yet to improve it -- but he did have the loose idea of how it worked. "Write a message, stamp it with this symbol here." The symbol, that looked like a mutation of the symbol he supposed was related to Neptune due to the fact it was all over both himself and Pendour. "Not holographic like we got from the aliens, but." It probably was a good thing he had at least found this, now when he thought about it. Probably. He still could have done without the aliens and the generators-- "Huh. Taking some real Poseidon influence I guess." The sea connection made sense from that mythological context, at least, and considering they were dealing with ancient wars caused by legend, magic, aliens, and more, he was willing to buy that. Considering the actual scientific reality that seemed to no longer be reality -- he wouldn't consider it from that perspective. "Might explain the water noises I was hearing at my," he paused, announcing, "wonder," slowly as if the concept sounded odd. "'Not that I could see much, but..." Water sounds, darkness ... Wait. It wasn't dark because it was under the-- No, no. "I look forward to seeing how your wonder interprets that, in any case." He grinned. "It sounds like a good place to chill." Clearly, priorities.

"They send messages, if you stamp it. That's right," said Pendour, running a finger over the indents in her own signet ring. "Or I can just give you my regular phone number, if that's easier." Even though with Soleiyu's encouragement, she'd finally managed to upgrade her own ring so that it could send messages a little easier, and receive messages from senshi and the others, she'd still gotten in the habit of just using her phone after having done it for a few years. "And yes, very Poseidon. My wonder is actually underneath the water, in this, um, bubble? I don't know if I said that. So you can see ripples over everything, and there are water sounds, and it's all lovely and soothing." Well. Except for the ghost that lurked there. "I've been bringing up all these beanbag chairs and pillows and blankets to try to take advantage of the atmosphere. Maybe you can help me try them out?" He was talking as if he liked to chill, and she could tell he liked music, so hopefully he'd like it up on Pendour. She was always happy enough to show off.

"Phone would be easier, probably." Though he really should learn how to use this thing. Didn't seem like it would take much. Could he just type out the messages he wanted to send? "Though this is pretty low effort. Should probably learn it." Water ... bubble. Ah. His suspicions were right. Abzu's thoughts cut off as his eyes widened in surprise. It was dark because it was under the sea, wasn't it? That was what it was. He was deep under the surface of the waters that somehow existed on the supposed gas planet Neptune. That might take him a few more moments to get used to. "Very Poseidon vibes," he muttered, letting out a deep breath. Alright. His wonder was somehow underwater. He was over it. "I guess that might explain the impenetrable darkness I was seeing." Musical beings who lived under the sea. He might have hummed a few bars under his breath. Beanbags and pillows and blankets under a watery sky sounded nice, though. His shoulders relaxed as he beamed, "Look, I'm always up for beanbag chairs and pillows. Actually have a giant one in my room." That was, of course, a yes. "Just let me know when. I'll be there." He wouldn't put off anything related to going to sleep.

Maybe he should be learning the signet ring, but Pendour wasn't about to push that issue. It was up to him. Instead, she pulled out an iPhone from subspace and pulled up her contact page before handing it over. "Yours is probably just deeper in the ocean than mine is if it's darker," she mused, but then cut off very quickly to blink at him. "You have a giant beanbag in your room?" That thought made her eyes light up even more than theorizing about space, and Poseidon vibes. "Okay, so that means I have to go to your house," she said, and then blinked one more time. Was that too forward? That was probably too forward. This man was wearing Neptune colors and talking to him felt like talking to an old friend, but that didn't mean it was okay to just invite herself into his bedroom. She loved beanbags, though. She loved soft, comfortable things the most of any kind of things at all, at least out of any kind of things that weren't alive. Plants won out over beanbags, and so did people. "I mean, if that's okay," she murmured in the end.

Deeper in the ocean... Yeah, that tracked, and as he took her phone from her and pulled his own phone out of subspace to get that entered in, he pondered briefly over the concept of things like pressure and what kinds of people lived in this space that was on an apparent water planet-- Couldn't have been anything like a human, right? Had to have been more adapted for the depths. Knowing that kind of thing though was meant for people who had biology knowledge-- His thoughts cut off as Pendour expressed her delight, and Abzu grinned. He invited people for a whole variety of reasons, honestly, but chilling and relaxing was the absolute top of the list. He was likely to give an easy agreement, but he saw the way she paused, blinked, and held herself back, so he handed her the phone back instead while he waited to see why she had paused. Abzu offered a smile at the murmur. "Yeah, sure," he laughed easily, tucking his phone away. "Look, I think a lot of stuff in my house is a very necessary experience to share. I have a hot tub too if that's your vibe." It was certainly his. "Didn't overstep. You're a cool person, and we're both apparently Neptunian souls or something. Or if the Negaverse line is to be believed, foreign souls born here to invade the Earth." He snickered. "Being friends is a good thing." And he was very ready to accept more friends and fewer fights in this strange magical saxophone business.

Okay. He wasn’t upset, and he didn’t think she’d overstepped. That was good. Of course he seemed like the calm, easy to talk to type that wouldn’t be offended by someone inviting themselves to his house, but you never knew for sure. Pendour wasn’t always good at reading people. Her smile was bright as bright, though, when he mentioned a hot tub, and she didn’t hesitate at all before saying, “Oh, yes. I’ll love that.” Hot tubs and beanbags? She’d probably end up melting into a sleepy pile on his floor. That was a nice thought, though. Pendour made chill, relaxing times a priority, too. She took her phone back and sent it off to subspace with a wave of her hand. “Okay. I should probably go now,” she said, because she could tell by the way the stars were shifting that it was getting late, “But I will text you. I will.” He was too sweet and too interesting for her to forget to be in touch.

Abzu was hard to bother and even harder to offend as a general rule. And people inviting themselves to his house? Honestly, the least of his worries ... so long as they weren't Chaos, he guessed. He probably wanted to avoid doing that now. Couldn't have them figuring out his identity or some other nonsense-- Oh, good, she liked hot tubs too. Perfect. He glanced up to the sky, not quite able to determine the time by looking at the sky but figuring it was getting later by the fact that it looked like the position of the moon had shifted-- "Alright. I look forward to it." Abzu looked back at her with a grin. "And good to meet you. This is, uh, a lot better than having random agents attack me while generators infect fields." Hopefully, all his conversations could stay this pleasant. "See you soon!"
