And just like that, he had friends and Matori as crazy as it started might not be so bad after all.

This kid sort of understood him in a way he had not yet understood himself. And with that came a sort of acceptance.

Eventually he would tell the other about his twin and that he had lied only to protect his brother.

His older sisters could take care of themselves they were scary capable at everything or so it seemed to him.

"Kynin." He shrugged with one shoulder as he continued to drag the other boy along behind him. "You know how to swim Gajeel?" If he did then it would be a lot more fun but if he didn't then it looked like he was gonna have to teach his newly claimed person how to. Especially if he was gonna be on the beach with the other kids.

"If not I can teach you the basics. Don't want the other kids to drown you." If they did that then he'd have to fight them, then find another person to claim, and that was just exhausting.

"I can only swim very little, the pools we are used to arnt usually too deep either." He could stay afloat if he stayed calm and everything else did too, that was about as good as it got.

He really hoped this kid was not going to let him drown. He still felt a little waterlogged from earlier. But he didn't want to back down and loose face so along he went with Kynin.

"I think lessons are needed." He didn't want to loose.

He takes a second to think about it then nods his head. "Lessons it is then." With that he adjusted his course a bit so that they slowly started to get closer to the water but were still walking toward where a group of kids were in the distance. "Can't have what's mine trying to drown." He said off hand.

With a small tug he tried to force Gajeel to pick up the pace some. "We don't have pools here, only ocean. Don't worry, I won't let you go."

He squeezed the other boys hand in silent thanks that only Kynin would feel. No one else need know of his temporary weakness and somehow that made him feel much better. Less...alone. And that was hard to do with a twin on the best of days.

He didn't know why but even faced with imminant peril he somehow felt safe, like so long as Kynin was with him nothing could happen to either.
