Cousin, huh? Maia hoped this seemingly sweet girl wouldn't be disappointed by what she discovered. If she ever found....Whatever this Elidae's name was. She hadn't been paying a lot of attention to that part of the conversation. The name of someone she was going to do her hardest to avoid for the rest of her life was hardly important.
"Yeah, sure," the young woman agreed, continuing to flash a friendly smile despite where her thoughts had been. Other than that, she had to admit she was very curious. If she was going to keep exploring the rainforest for different things to bring back, maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea to get to know more about the other kind of people who she might encounter. That wasn't to say Elaria and Elidae would be just like Alkidike. Still, all knowledge would be valuable.
"I can tell you more about Shifters," Maia said as way of a fair exchange. Not that she had any ideas what exactly she could even say about her own Tribe. There wasn't much that couldn't also be said about most Earthlings, different environments and cultures aside.

That was indeed a fair exchange. More than fair, really! Doesina had always wanted to learn more about the Earthlings that shared the world with her and her Sisters. Due to the oppression she felt from the other Elaria, there wasn't much she did know about them. She knew they lived in more corners of the world than her species did. And that they came in a wider variety of colors within their single tribe than hers did. Like this Shifter, for example. Blue hair like an Elidae. Who could have imagined?
The Elaria clapped her hands together, her eyes dancing with excitement at the prospect of a lesson. "I would really appreciate that! Oh, and my name is Doesina. I'm not sure when I will be back this way. How would we find each other, again?"

That was not something Maia had thought about during this whole exchange. As an aspiring Treasure Hunter, she didn't spend much time in the city. And since Doesina was looking for her cousin, she wasn't likely to spend much time in towns or cities, either. If she were to accurately judge from her brief encounter with the Elidae, Maia would assume Heike to not be in the city, but instead out in the rainforest. Making her way towards the Alkidike, perhaps?
"Nice to meet you. I am Maia. I guess...Meeting won't be too easy." Rolling her shoulder so the bag fell off her arm, the Shifter rooted in it for a pen and paper, jotting down Chiro's business. She handed it to Doesina, putting the bag back on her shoulder. "I spend a lot of time wandering around, but the man who runs this business will have an idea of when I'd be likely to be returning." And she really would like to meet this girl, again. She had been very pleasant and easy to talk to.

Doesina looked down at the piece of paper in her hand. The name of what she assumed was a business stared back up at her. She had no idea where this was, but she supposed asking directions to a single building couldn't be too difficult when she came back this way. Whenever that would be. Heike might not want to go with her back to Yael. She might insist on staying here for a while. The Elaria didn't want to let any of her family go and planned on sticking close to her cousin. Provided Heike was okay with that.
Pocketing the piece of paper, Doesina smiled down at the Earthling. It was definitely weird being the taller one for a change.
"Sure. I am unsure when I will be back around, but I will keep it in mind."

"Great!" Maia shifted her bag, getting a comfortable position for the walk into the city and through the crowds. So long as she didn't stop until she reached Chiro, she shouldn't have to deal with pickpockets trying to get into it. It had happened before. Some by experienced thieves who did manage to get something and blend back into the crowd. Some by inexperienced who tried to take her entire bag right off both her arms, ending in them both comically falling down to the road. That one had been caught by authorities. She had been mad, at first, until she realized this was just a hungry kid and, not just bailed him out, but gave him some of her profit keep himself fed for long enough to find a more respectable job.
"I really should be off. It was nice meeting you." Turning towards the city, Maia trotted down the road, giving a wave over her shoulder at the Elaria still standing on the roadside, returning the gesture.
