What he had said makes sense. She still felt like she had charmed him a bit though. Not necessarily a bad thing. It was sort of neat that a stranger would help her out so. Someone out there knew how to raise sons.

He would make a light joke out of it at a later date, but it would be a good excuse to see her again.
"It won't be anything awful," he reassured her.
If he ever had to wrangle small cute critters, he would call up that favor. Might be good for laugh anyway.

Well, that wasn't daunting at all.

She smiled at him bobbing her thanks again. She hoped fervently that he wasn't too crazy. Sometimes it was hard to tell. Well, it was better than stealing she supposed, a favor would be like completing a job and thus earning the money. Maybe her and her adopted family had a chance to be straight, after all.

He waved goodbye and felt truly good with what he had done. It sort of shocking that he cared this much that it even felt good. He started home. Thinking ahead to his next training project lined up for tomorrow morning. A few stray thoughts about dark skin and deep sparkling yellow eyes. Best not to think on that too much, best to think about training and and end it there.
