When they stopped shaking they moveed along going from tree to tree very carefully as only the young and extremely flexible can do. “How about we tell the adults we didn’t almost get eaten tonight but let them know we saw large snaptrotter prints out here.”
Nothing worse then petrified parents and the death grip they held on you after that for about a month.

“I can definitely agree to that.” They shook hands and the bargain was sealed. The whole family would make a huge fuss if they found out. Better to keep the whole thing nice and quiet.
“Prints are a great touch, implying we didn’t see a thing.”

“Thank you, thank you, I’m learning.” His brothers and sisters had been teaching him from day one how to be sneaky, how to keep moving ahead of a beast. And to think ahead too. Though he was still perfecting that skill and his overall agility. He loved being in motion. Dancing too. “Ushi and Thal send their regards.”

He glowed to hear that his beloved cousins remembered him. He couldn’t wait to see them again. He wanted to know where they were but he was too proud to ask Tethys himself. “Tell them I say Hi back and thank you for the message.”
They were in sight of the house and he turned to sprint off inside.

Tethys nodded his head and followed Ultear inside. Their truce held for today. He could tell the other boy was still wary but oh well. They had yet to figure out their relationship besides as cousins yet. Only time would tell really. But none of that would ever get in the way of basic survival. They were family foremost. He was just glad neither of them had become lunch today.
