Arnica seemed pleased with her response and nodded. “I like Mauvians, too. I can’t say that I’ve gotten to know enough of them, but that’s probably my fault. Seems like they’re a little rare. But if anyone would know them, I’m sure it’s him. I don’t get the impression that he’d think you were troubling him, either.”
He smiled, because he couldn’t help it after seeing her face light up like that.
“I think you should give it a go. I’d be really interested to hear how that music box sounds after it gets fixed. So promise me that you’ll go ask about getting it touched up, okay? Don’t trick yourself into thinking anyone will think it’s a burden.”

"I’ve only met two mauvians myself" Sadalsuud admitted.
At least she was pretty sure that it had been just the two, although there was the possibility that she may have met more of them in passing. With may being the operative word.
Miss Kitten was the one that she had the most memories of though, although it had been a long time since she’d seen the small mauvian.
"I’d love to meet more though."
Although perhaps it was perhaps a good thing that she hadn’t, because she’d have likely done her best to try and spoil them and as it was she already spent a lot of her spare funds (or rather Mi-Hi’s spare funds on) the stray cats at the park.
"I’ll ask Mr Rem about it next time I see him," Sadalsuud agreed, and for a moment she wondered if there were any snacks that he might like before she shook her head at the thought because perhaps she was kind of getting ahead of herself.
"And you will absolutely be the first person that I show the music box to if I can ever get it to work again" and Sadalsuud’s voice was sincere. "That’s a promise."

Arnica cracked a smile and nodded. “Good, I’m glad to hear it.”
Mirrorspace seemed so vast around them, and though they had only started, there was a timelessness to their trip. He wasn’t sure if he’d ever get used to the way time passed here. He wasn’t complaining. He did have to pull his cell phone to check the time, though.
“Come on, this place is huge. If we drag our feet, we’ll never cover anything in here. If we look around, maybe we’ll find some more things we can ask Remarque about. I haven’t met up with him in a while, I probably don’t need an excuse, but.” He shrugged.
“He does always say that Mirrorspace is full of undiscovered things. Maybe we’ll get brownie points if we find something good to report. We’ll be safe, though. If it gets too weird, we can head out, all right?”
He hadn’t forgotten that she’d mentioned being a little nervous, so he wanted to do everything in his power to reassure her. Mirrorspace could be a little eerie, after all.

Sadalsuud nodded, "That works for me" she agreed. "And I can always jot down some notes or some…"
Her voice trailed off as she belatedly remembered slipping the notepad that she’d been holding onto earlier into subspace so that she could pull out the wooden music box, and her smile turned a little sheepish as she switched out the music box with the notepad with a small laugh.
"It probably helps if I actually have the notepad to hand" she admitted. "But I don’t mind jotting notes down if we do end up turning up something of interest - I’m kind of used to that since I do enough of that for classes."
Or rather Mi-Hi did, but Sadalsuud figured that it was the same principle.
She thought about it and then added "Well at least as long as it’s not something of ‘try to squish us’ variety." Because at that point she would definitely be looking to take the ‘head out’ option.
She tilted her head thoughtfully, "Would you mind telling me what you know of the Mirrorscape whilst we look."
Arnica had mentioned it when they had crossed paths at the park and Sadalsuud found herself curious.
She hesitated and then admitted "You probably know a lot more about it than I do as I’ve only been there the once and it was after the whole thing with Queen Altea." And after everything she’d been kind of more interested in getting home than in looking around.

“Oh yeah, I’m happy to tell you whatever I can,” he said, and flashed a quick smile. It was hard going into things and trying to play it cool. Online he could have a totally different personality but he didn’t want to scare anyone away with his enthusiasm. It just so happened that he loved theories and oddities so he was already greatly invested in such things even before he’d been awakened.
“I haven’t spent as much time as some people, so I’ve gotten a lot of second hand knowledge from Remarque but I think he’s a pretty trustworthy source. So the basics–you know, it’s always changing. Every trip you make, you wind up somewhere else. There are times I’ve tried to find a place I’ve been too before, but it’s never exactly the same. I don’t know if that’s just because Mirrorspace itself is always changing, or if the places it shows are just extensions of our own imaginations. You know, like how you can kind of summon things at will?”
He gestured towards an empty space and a generic stool appeared. He let it sit for a few seconds to make his point and then let it disappear back into the floor as Mirrorspace absorbed it away.
“But I haven’t exactly found what I’m looking for. Maybe I’m just not powerful enough? Remarque’s said he’s found some weird spaces before. Like old ruins? I was with him once and we found this corridor that was just…”
He gestured vaguely as he tried to figure out how to articulate it exactly. “Crumbling. It looked like a bomb had gone off. The walls were black and the floor was cracked, and all the mirrors were broken. We only saw it for a minute but when we took a step towards it, there was this ripple. I think Remarque would have gone to explore it if I hadn’t been with him, so I want to get stronger. I want to know what’s out there. I’ve seen some weird looking wraiths, too. And sometimes shadows in the mirrors, like something’s there? I don’t know. I think Mirrorspace is holding a lot for us. I just don’t think we’ve figured out how to tap into it yet.”

Whatever experience you have is still likely more experience than mine given that I've only been there the once and that was kind of a while ago" Sadalsuud admitted–
And it was something that was tied up with the whole Queen Altea thing, which was something that she still felt conflicted over, even though it was something that had happened five or so years ago.
Because whilst she knew that she'd been wrong about the Queen and had seen the truth painted out, it was still hard to reconcile it with the woman who had seemed so kind, so willing to help and spend some time just chatting to her.
She shook her head slightly, not really liking the directions her thoughts were going and managed a slight smile.
"Truthfully it's kind of nice knowing that I'm not the only one who doesn't have a lot of answers about things" she admitted as the smile on her lips brightened slightly, "And I don't mind secondhand."
Sadalsuud listened quietly as Arnica outlined everything that he knew, her green eyes thoughtful as he mentioned that the Mirrorscape was ever-changing, although she nodded when he mentioned that they could kind of summon things at will in Mirrorspace, because whilst it wasn't something that she'd really indulged with herself it was something that she was nonetheless aware of.
Despite herself, Sadalsuud was unable to stop her eyes from widening when Arnica mentioned the crumbled corridors with the cracked floor and the broken mirrors, thoughts flitting between amazement and the fact that something that could do that sounded kind of scary.
She didn't speak until Arnica had finished talking "I get wanting to be strong" she admitted, "Especially when the Court is full of strong people like Mr Rem and Miss Acubens."
Sadalsuud personally didn't count herself amongst the strong ones since she was aware of her limitations "I'm not sure if I have it in me to be strong like that, but I'd like to know more about Mirrorscape too" her lips curved in a rueful smile "And I'd like to be a better senshi so that I can help people."
It wasn't something that Sadalsuud admitted to very often, was something that she more often than not kept to herself filed in the mental 'do not want to bother folder'–
In truth Sadalsuud found it much easier to be Mi-Hi rather than to be Sadalsuud, found her civilian life so much easier to navigate despite the ups and downs.
But she found it easy to hang out with Arnica and (more importantly) easy to talk to the other Dark Mirror senshi, which in turn meant that she found herself relaxing around him and being herself.
Sadalsuud laughed "And that includes helpingyou too if I can" she added with a bright smile.

Arnica laughed and ndoded. “Well, I’m grateful for all the help I can get. I need it. I’m too nosey for my own good and don’t have the strength to back up all that i want to do. I don’t even like fighting,” he waved his hand dismissively, “or any of that trouble. I’m here for the answers, you know? I like the mystery. I want to solve problems and figure things out. I just know that Mirrorspace is dangerous unless you can watch out for yourself, you know?”
At least, it was better to be safe than sorry.
“I’d like to find my own answers. Not that I don’t trust the rest of them, I just have so many questions.” He shrugged, but he was smiling. The search for the answers what was what made them worth it.
“So being ‘better’, being ‘stronger’. I guess it’s all subjective. I just want to be able to go snooping and not have to worry about making it out okay,” he laughed. “I want to know all about Mirrorspace, though. About what it is, about what’s inside of it. How it was made, what it can do. I could fill a notebook with all of my questions.”
