Waru nearly choked on his laughter at that, tried his best to hide an ugly little snort laugh in his the neckline of his jacket, his shoulder. ******** failed, because the idea of Alexa trying to drop-chop someone into oblivion, only to end up on her butt. It was hilarious to him.
"Mmhmm, trip less first. Else it'll be yourself that gets stabbed..or..ah..more likely, me? Depending on the proximity." he sniffed, as her steps got more steady, and he admired her ability to pick everything up so quick. Could've told Alexa how she was amazing, probably all day long, except that would've been a bit excessive - even for him.
He thought, maybe he'd settle for showing it? Realized half their time together it'd been her taking care of him - teaching him - giving him her time, effort, skills as a general. As a genuinely good person who was just around to brighten his day? All of this, it was only fair that he gave a little bit back -- that he kept himself steady and grip easy.
"Wow" -- even if he was starstruck by the simplest little ways she managed to move herself -- he squeezed back. Nodded -- breathed past a small lump of want that stuck in his throat -- because he wanted that with her. Liked how they leaned on each other, push and pull of learning on the go. Of her making it easy. No one else had been as sweet - as gentle - "I suddenly wanna go skydiving with you, and jump off tall buildings, and leap 'em in single bounds -
and...!"
"I feel like I've been mooching offa you, yanno?
IknowIhavent! But? You've been so ********
'there' for me. Next thing we do - you name it - I'll be on it, with ******** bells."
Even if was just to cuddle. Even if it was just to cuddle, for thirty minutes, every day, or listen to her talk about school and her next project, or to watch her put together a really kickass costume - finish her ******** homework, because she was so smart. She deserved every good grade she got, ever chance at success from all the work she'd put in.
Outside of the Negaverse. Alexa should've had as many people loving her for exactly who she was, as she had medals and accolades.
