... So Lumikani was at peace, settled... and definitely not expecting an invasion by her estranged elder sister. Everything else, Zayana made clear was merely inferred, not outright fact. Perhaps Elsheba would appear and everything would be wonderful, fine even, or it could go horribly, terribly wrong.
She drew in a breath, conflicted, propping a hand on her hip as she thought. "Will you be going back to Zinris after your visit?" Elsheba asked, finally. "... I'll make plans to head that way, but I think it's best to send her a warning ahead of time, right?"

[ Zayana 9 ] Zayana began to glance around at the small, worn place. It wasn't necessarily well loved or tended for, but it was a home. A different sort of home than any she was ever used to, living in Yael and Kahikina. " I'll be traveling to Chiume first. My daughter is on a pilgrimage of sorts to see each tree." Turning back toward her aunt, she nodded in understanding. " Once we are done visiting there, we'll head back home. We can take a message if you'd like? But it is quite hard to send them back and forth...the distance and all..."

(9/10) Elsheba couldn't help the soft laugh and grin that drew out of her. "Of course. Makes sense. Yes well... perhaps you could ... bend the truth a bit, and tell her your daughter inspired me on my own pilgrimage. Of sorts." Her eyes creased a bit in a smile. The subtext was still that Elsheba was coming to see Lumikani, but... perhaps shielding it as a general pilgrimage would make the younger Alkidike feel less guilty if she didn't want to receive Elsheba, when she got there.
The prospect of seeing her sister again, after such a long time, was nerve wracking, but she found herself compelled to do so, now that she knew it was an option. Her own relationships with Anya and Ashani had withered away over time, and after Nimueh... well. It would be nice, to try and see family again.
"And if you're there, it will be ... nice to see you again. For longer than a brief 'how do you do.'"

[ Zayana 10 ] Her smile was warm in response to the words of her aunt, " I'm sure she'd understand that." She replied softly in return. Her mother was worn out, a recluse in kind terms. But Zayana had to believe that Lumikani would make an effort to see her sister, especially if she was knocking on their door. " If I'm not there, my sister will be. And her daughters. And they are sure to welcome you and guide you to our mother." She replied with a nod. " If you don't mind waiting for us, I'm sure we'll be there soon enough. We'll need to make sure you meet Nayyara at least." With a nod, it was settled. " Just ask for me or Kanika if need be. We'll make sure you're well taken care of."

Elyessi I'm so sorry for the lame closer but at least it's done asdfa <3 (10/10) The smile went a long way to reassuring her nerves. That, and it was exciting to hear more about her neices - grand-neices, even! She smiled back, wanting to reach out to clasp her arm - but she resisted and instead just nodded back, expression soft. "It'll be good, to be around family."
