She had honestly been afraid of getting in trouble, but seeing the man being so calm about things made Quynh let out a sigh of relief. “Ah.” She grinned as she watched him pick up the dummy’s head. “Since I broke it, should I help you?” She lowered her staff as she approached the dummy again this time to inspect the thing instead of beating it up. “I could find some vines to reconnect the head?”

“Vines?” Verosh quirked a brow but gave a nod. At least the girl wasn’t wailing about the broken dummy and was instead trying to be helpful about it. “Go for it.” He set down his staff and walked about both dummies, the man frowning as he realized that they both had definitely seen much better days. “I should probably create some new ones soon so I’m not truly worried about it.” Not that he was trying to comfort her or anything. Verosh was simply being honest and that was all it was. Now the question was how was she going to get those vines to work as a temporary fix?

“Oh.” Quynh’s expression fell but she shook her head. She was determined to fix her mistake. Even if the dummy had been in shambles before the girl was not going to simply walk away! That was simply bad manners and she refused to have them in front of someone who had actually been nice to her. “Still, I want to fix it so that we can continue.” She glanced about and grinned when she saw some hefty vines climbing up around a nearby tree. “If I can find some sap then that would help the vines to stick almost like a really sturdy cast or something…” Already she was moving forward and starting to tug at the vines so that she could free them.

“Ah, sap.” Verosh smirked before simply moving so that he could help the youngling out. “I suppose that’s not a bad idea. We’ll fix up the dummies and then I can show you a few more moves after.” And then he assumed he would take the youngling home. The last thing he wanted was for a search party to come after the girl. Then he would have to deal with a whole group of strangers rummaging about his little sanctuary! But either way Verosh did actually find it somewhat enjoyable to spend the afternoon with a youngling who was full of determination and energy like he had before. It gave him hope that perhaps things wouldn’t be quite so bad moving forward into the future for any type of the Aishan hybrids. Even if things didn’t become perfectly peaceful then at least they could become strong enough together to continue standing their ground to live the lives that Aisha gave them.

Quynh smiled happily as she realized that Verosh was actually helping her gather the vines. Surely it wasn’t such a bad idea then! The youngling hummed as she continued working along, her fingers quickly prying the vines from the trees and gathering them into a pile so that she could use the tree sap to wrap them around the dummy. Hopefully it would work because she truly was looking forward to an afternoon of training with Verosh! Maybe it wouldn’t be such a horrible thing for her family to linger in this area after all.
