Rista took one moment to gloat that she wasn't the only broken one this morning. Heehee, they had gone toe to toe, he definitely drank more but then again, he was bigger than her.
Anyway, it had been a great night, one to remember for a while, she hoped the next year was just as good.
"A whole new year, ours for the taking? Once the garden is done after summer I wouldn't mind a little travel in fall. "
There were some winter crops that were able to be grown in Matori but not everything liked mild weather. Still better than other places though.

"You enjoy travel that much huh?" He was delighted because he got bored if he stayed in the same place for too long.
"You really are my perfect woman and you did it, just by being you. Now what is for breakfast, and is it normal to feel like I am dying."
He felt like that one time he had gotten seasick, and once had been more than enough, however that had been because there was a storm at sea.
Just thinking about it made him feel more green.
"Pancakes?"

"Crepes actually, but close enough, after yesterday, I need more of a sugar rush." She was salivating already and food would hopefully help them both with the monster sized headaches, then they could rush out and tend to the animals.
He didn't have that big of a zoo yet, but he was working on it, and there were always animals to adopt, having him as a mate just meant that she was able to take in quite a few more animals than the average household. This brought her more joy than he could imagine.
She couldn't wait for tomorrow, nevermind the new adventures of the year ahead and the many more after that.

"Crepes work," he was so hungry he would eat dry pasta. But it also helped that she was incredibly good at cooking, especially breakfast.
"It smells good in here already." Some of her food was a little different from what he was used to but she had lived in Matori long enough to pick up quite a few of her favorite dishes from locals. She had masters the few that he had given her too. She was talented and sweet and full of fire. He would never be bored.
"Thank you, I love you."

"Awww, its so easy to melt your heart, Sis was right, it was all about the stomach with her husband too. Rista smiled. She scooped up a spoon full of melted chocholate and offered it to him.
"Start the day off right my love, with a spoon full of chocolate."
New day, new year, new outlook. Life was so good.
"I love you too, more than you know." She kissed him then.
