"Sounds like a good deal to me!" Oberon chirped enthusiastically, although he was well aware that getting someone back from the Negaverse was going to be difficult. But with what they were working on, they just needed to get her to a safe place and then work on convincing her to let go of Chaos.

And it wasn't as though he wanted new tech more than he wanted to help save a fellow Senshi! He just thought it was a reasonable trade off! Because it wasn't as though he hadn't been planning on helping to look for her already.

"I'll go over that with you later," Oberon explained to Alastor as he put the phone away into his subspace. "Don't worry, they're pretty sturdy. I once threw my phone in the face of a Negaverse officer to escape them." He paused and shrugged at Soleiyu. "I was, like, twelve. Give me a break. The phone was fine."

Michael was trying to focus very hard on his ice cream instead of glancing up at the Jupiter green and golden oak sash that Alastor had in his subspace. He felt guilty, even though he knew it wasn't his fault that Alastor had likely convinced himself of a reality that didn't exist. It happened. Michael was well aware of the effects of trauma and how different people learned to cope with it.

And in doing his best not to look at Alastor, he didn't miss the expression Soleiyu had. As much of an expression Michael could decipher for a cat at least. He would just have to ask once Alastor was out of earshot again.
