Hydor couldn't help it. He snorted.

"If they see the appeal in following a leader who wants nothing but the eventual drain of, the break of natural cycles of, and death of the universe, then I can't ******** help them." And they deserved their death, but he wasn't about to reinforce that to an alien. Discussions of death and what should be done with the Negaverse seemed best reserved for people he was assured were on his side, even if they weren't "organized" on that side.

There was a part of Hydor who wished for a bit more order, if just so they could have a more organized database of what the Negaverse was like, what the Negaverse was pursuing, where the Negaverse was in the city -- but that didn't necessarily require following anyone. That just needed a few people to work together and make something. Maybe the Mauvians.

"Resolving your own issues would probably be a good way down that path, yeah." Hydor shrugged. "Probably also no longer aligning with Chaos, but at least you're not doing that. And yeah, be more careful around the wildlife. Some of them may not be wildlife at all."

Some of them might be ******** youma, and he was pretty sure for them, a starseed snack was a starseed snack, even if it was from some Velencian alien from another planet.

He was blunt and she was rather taken aback by how blunt he was! He didn't seem inclined to care about her personal feelings and if she'd been under the assumption that he would care, this was dispelled by his reply to several of her remarks. They were all fair of course, and while she couldn't speak for the views of her own peers in regards to whether they had their reasons for siding with 'Chaos'...what he did say gave her some cause for concern.

Why would they side with something that was the antithesis of creation? Why would they side with something that would break the natural cycle of life (and death)? Did the Commodore have a strange vision, a delusion that would push him towards breaking the cycle in a strange attempt to stall the fall of their planet or even freeze its lifespan? She was of course theorycrafting and had absolutely no evidence for any of it, but Hydor's point stood.

Why had he even played with the side of Chaos?

He had failed in his mission of course, perhaps for the first time ever, and that simply proved that when it came to something like this one would be better not to gamble. In the end, something this nefarious and potentially parasitical would find its way to their home, and if they had broken the cycle and destroyed the only force capable of saving them...then all hope was lost.

"I promise I have no interest in their aspirations," she confirmed. "Though I seek to understand how your kind achieve their miracles," she added and cleared her throat.

"For now though I shall steal no more of your time," she added and gave a small wave of her hand. "If I am to prove myself an ally then I must uh...put my money where my mouth is, right?" she smiled wryly. "I can't make any progress if I'm standing in the cold."

"Thank you again though, and perhaps we'll see one another again on better terms..."

Their miracles.

He was going to presume either the way they were still living in spite of all of this bullshit, or something to do with their homeworlds considering Velenia was long lost. Hydor wasn't sure if his homeworld qualified as a miracle -- it sure qualified as something, and there was a part of him that wanted to surface what was under the waves, but he certainly hadn't seen much miraculous there yet other than the fact that there was anything that hadn't capsized.

Maybe the bugs?

"Can't promise I know either, but," he shrugged, "maybe I'll show you sometime."

It was enough of an indicator that he at least didn't assume that she was hostile, even underneath his general gruff exterior.

"Be safe out there." Hydor lifted a hand and gave a half-wave, half-salute. "You had the phrase right, by the way. Hopefully, we see each other again without those ******** reindeer."

He turned to walk away, resuming his evening patrol.

She gave a small wave as he departed and after a moment to reflect, stepped in to the shadows to correct one little oversight that she was lucky some unwanted attention hadn't witnessed. Yes, with a small series of taps on her comtech, her glamour descended over her and the alien soon appeared to slot comfortably in to human society again.

...Well, as well as someone in a summer hat in winter could fit in. At least she had understood the need to put a 'coat' on her outfit even if she refused to let go of the hats.

She wouldn't push her luck with Hydor though. In the grand scheme of things fortune had favoured her to a degree. He hadn't attacked her, he had helped her while she was in trouble and he hadn't been completely adverse to the concept that they may not all be that bad. Perhaps in time she would make an ally of him, maybe not tomorrow, next week or even a year from now, but in the future he might very well say 'I guess you're ok'.

Baby steps though.

She would at least try to take him up on the offer it came up again though. The opportunity to explore ad take readings on ever healing works, to monitor the progress of plant and animals as they developed and grew was something that might point her and her companions to a true answer to their conundrum.

She didn't believe that even the senshi understood the miracle within them and that was ok, she just needed the opportunity to explore what it might be.

...And hopefully in finding the 'truth', it wouldn't involve sticking mutated crystals into an unfortunate man's body in the hope they'd jump start a change that he was perhaps incapable of!

For now though it was time for her to make her own way to her safe haven. She'd been out for a little longer than she normally was and it was in her best interests not to cause concern for now.
