The Chaos melted away, and when her part was done, Cosmos retracted her hand and made space for the Senshi–made space for the support system that was here to cheer her on. Cosmos stood as tall and proud as ever, and she watched Nembus with something akin to pride. Something akin to hope. Cosmos was not easy to read, but in that moment she was. She had seen so much Chaos lately, so much hardship. She didn’t know what had happened to Nembus when she’d started to push the Chaos in, but she had felt the damage to her starseed. She hadn’t been afraid of hurting it worse, but she’d felt the energy seep into the cracks. Nembus had lost some of her strength, but Cosmos thought she was stronger now than ever. She didn’t speak, she didn’t have reassurances. She waited on the sidelines to make sure they were safe, to make sure there was nothing more she could do. She waited to make sure she was okay.

Cosmos remained nearby even as she made space, and Nembus found that she needed that, shaky on her feet as the adrenaline released and the dizziness of feeling so light that she might perhaps tip over-- Cybele's hand was steadying, too, and she found herself remembering that there were other people there, other people who may or may not be familiar -- remembered talking to herself, remembered telling herself that she would lose some memories, even if she wasn't sure which -- and glanced over to her when she heard the reaffirmation that she was free and saw the smile on her face and the softness in her features. It was foggy, but as she worked through that fog, recognition dawned on her face as she looked from Cybele to Phaethon who kept his distance, to Cosmos who stood in front of her, strong and with a presence that made Nembus feel safe. "Tired. I want to take a nap." The laugh was quiet, the smile on her face subtle but still lifting her features. "I do remember you, Cybele." And then, to Phaethon, "And you too, Phaethon. Don't look so nervous. Isn't your sphere happiness?" Her smile brightened just a bit, and then she turned back toward Cosmos, her eyes misting as she saw the person who felt to her like someone who should be revered-- "Thank you," and Nembus sounded reverent, too. "Thank you so much."

So, she remembered. Cybele nodded. It wasn't a strictly positive thing. Later, she knew, it might be hard for Nembus to look back on some of the things that she'd done, but at least if she recognized Cybele it made things a bit more streamlined in the moment. There was a familiarity to how tired Nembus looked, as well, and Cybele tried to stay steady for her. She might have been nursing her own injuries, but she would still do her best to hold up the other senshi if need be. Although, in the back of her mind, she hoped that it would not get to that point, or that if it did, Phaethon could help. "You should rest now," she said. "Everything else can wait a day or two." After everything that had happened, Nembus deserved to just sleep and breathe for a bit. Although, that left the logistical side of things. Cybele was not sure if she was allowed to just show up at the house with another person. "I think I could get you a hotel for tonight, unless-" She gave Phaethon a questioning glance.

The knot that had formed in his chest released when she recognized Cybele, and released even further when Nembus turned toward him and teased him for his nerves. A half-quavery smile formed on his face with a breathy chuckle escaping despite that, and he shook his arms out in an attempt to calm himself. Right. Senshi of happiness, and this was a happy thing. Be happy. He was happy. He was very happy. There was no cause to be anything but happy. His gaze drifted to Sailor Cosmos standing nearby as Nembus thanked her. Seeing her warmed his heart. He had known that there were ways to escape the Negaverse. He, however, had never known who could do that, and seeing who could indeed do it--and seeing her in person--was wondrous. He found himself grateful for her, too. There had been a way to get out of the Negaverse. He'd had a feeling there had to have been, considering... Phaethon was very happy, but it wasn't his happiness that was the point, right now. "I agree with Cybele," he finally ventured, trying to keep his voice quiet. "You should rest." A hotel-- Oh, that wasn't necessary. Phaethon hadn't expected Cybele to look at him, but he spoke anyway. "The offer's still open, Nembus, if you'd like to stay with me and my family. I made sure there was a room prepared. And the box is still in it. Kept it safe, just like you asked." He very much wanted to get it back to her.

Cosmos was further reassured that Nembus was in good hands, and she smiled softly–to all of them. She had done many purifications, and she hoped to do many more, but they were always special. It was always coming home. Easier, of course, when you had people looking after you. “If there is anything I can do for you, now or in the future, you know how to find me. If I can come, I will.”

Both Cybele and Phaethon were telling her to get some rest. They probably weren't wrong, as much as was ahead of her, because though a part of her wanted to tackle that before reality set in, she felt wobbly on her feet. Nembus could only imagine the brain fog that'd settle in once she let go of this senshi identity, the only identity she had. She had forgotten her civilian life. She knew. There was a hole there when she even tried to ask herself who she was beyond what she remembered telling herself. Knew her name had been Delilah-- "I could go to a hotel," she murmured, alright with this and not expecting anything, but Cybele looked to Phaethon, and Phaethon immediately made the offer he had made back when Nembus had originally told him she was leaving. He said she could stay with him. Permanently, if need be. They had the space. He wanted to do that for her. He'd figure it out-- "Oh." Nembus's chuckle was gentle. "So you meant that then--" It was so silly to think he might not. But she had been so used to the holes in her life, so used to leaning on people only for them to leave -- but so much of that had changed so recently, and -- "Sorry. I'm being silly. I'll stay with you, Phae." A smirk, a chuckle, "And the box." And her gaze shifted back to Cosmos. That soft smile warmed her. It felt like she was looking at a mother, or a priestess, or a goddess even considering what she was capable of. It made Nembus feel like she was soaring to be in her presence. The concept that she could call out to her again if needed... "Thank you," she replied, the reverence entering her tone again. "I'm so glad I can count on you." Her eyes watered, as something of a smile formed on her face. "On all of you."

There was still a bit of tension somewhere in Cybele's shoulders, but it relaxed farther when Phaethon mentioned a house, and a box of things that had been kept safe for Nembus. That was better than what Cybele could offer, yes. That was what Nembus deserved. "Ah, you already have something all set up," she said. "Good. That's good. It's better than what I can offer you." She might have only met Phaethon a few minutes ago, but her respect for him was only growing by the second. Her smile grew, as well. "Thank you for helping her," Cybele told him, and she was talking about everything that had happened, not just the housing situation. "It means a lot to me." Given her own story, everything about tonight touched something deep in her heart. "If you've got a place to stay, though, I should probably head home," she said. The wound was only aching more as she shifted and walked, and her face was a bit pale under the smiles. "But I'll reach out, all right?"

A weight lifted from his shoulders when Nembus agreed that might be a good idea--staying with him, that was--though he wasn't entirely sure what to do about the fact that Nembus might have been crying. He suppressed the urge to fidget from the conflict of wanting to hug her and wondering if that might be too much considering the situation. Cosmos was saying she would be there for Nembus at any time she was needed, so long as she could come-- Well, it was good. It was all very good. Cybele's comments surprised him, and he flushed accordingly. "Ah, it's not a problem, really. Nembus," he glanced toward her, for a moment, "means a lot to me, too, and," he looked back toward Cybele, "I want to be able to help where I can. I'm glad she has people she trusts." That was his way of thanking her too, in perhaps a few too many words. "Let me know if I can help you with anything?" he offered, worried about the way she was shifting, as he looked back toward Nembus. "It's no trouble at all. Ready to go?"

"I'm sure anything you could have offered would have been just fine," said Nembus to Cybele, with a sniffle and a smile. She felt like such a silly thing, standing in front of them and sobbing with the lightness she felt in her chest even at the empty chasm that lied ahead -- and perhaps that was it, the chasm wasn't empty, and she had people she could rely on. Phaethon. Cybele. Even Cosmos, this person who felt like a goddess who had stepped on to Earth just to break one person out of Chaos, of all things-- She was happy to see Phaethon and Cybele getting along, even happier to see him offer to help her, too. It was what Cybele deserved, too. Friends. People who could support her. It was what everyone deserved, really, but-- But this wasn't the time for that. Cybele was in pain. Cosmos likely had other things to do. And Phaethon was offering to take her home. She scurried over to him, "Yes," and to Cybele, "whenever. Take care of yourself," and to Cosmos, one last, "Thank you," before she happily walked into the great unknown. The Space Cauldron think I can call this a fin!
