'Though he kidnapped me--' Ah right, that whole thing. That debacle. One debacle among many. Phaethon mirrored her, unconsciously, letting out a long sigh. "Good. I mean, okay, we can work with that." He drummed his fingers on the table, on the box, back to the table. Thoughts buzzing, he ventured, "do you have a place to go? A timeline?"

"The timeline is basically as soon as possible."
The Negaverse was celebrating their victories right now. The Negaverse was busy getting the new arrivals settled. The Negaverse was busy doing everything but paying attention to new eternal corrupted senshi who could be using this opportunity to slip away.
That was a fleeting opportunity she couldn't let slip through her fingers.
Not when heads had rolled.
"I'm going to be laying low. Not staying in my apartment, but not staying with you. Don't want to bring trouble to anyone else." Nembus knew what he'd suggest before he had even said it, really, and moved on before he could say anything about it. "Spending the next couple days taking what money I can from my accounts, getting my transcript and all that," she clicked her tongue, "and seeing if I can find some of the others that said they'd have my back. I've camped before. Just gonna do that."

Phaethon tried anyway. "You know my folks wouldn't mind putting you up for a few days."

"And if they realize I ran away from home, Phaethon," Nembus sounded strained, "what do you think would happen to the people who helped me run?"

Nembus leaned forward, pressing a talon to his cheek. "Phaethon," she repeated, and perhaps, it sounded the tiniest bit like she was talking to a child, "if those who hunt the traitors get the inkling I was staying with you or your parents, not only would my head be rolling, your family would also discover themselves very suddenly sin cranium."
She backed away, folding her hands in her lap.
Her toes curled.
"As I said. I will be camping for a couple of days."

Well.
Her expression softened.
"Guess I'll need a place to live."
She didn't want to have to depend on other people so deeply, but then, what other option did she have? Nembus was going to walk across the line with even fewer memories than she started with when she had been forcefully yanked over and doused in magical amnesia. It also tended to be hard to get assistance without an actual living place, as Nembus had quickly learned.
"That's not the priority for now, though. First, have to live through the next couple of days. Do you know, roughly, where the fashion district is?"

"Sure, that way abouts." Phaethon gestured over her shoulder. "Should take you about half an hour to walk there without senshi powers." He frowned. "How will I know if something's happened to you? ...What if you forget me?"

"I may. I may forget my entire senshi life. It's a risk you'll have to take." Nembus chuckled wryly. "If I do, though, I partially recorded those while as a civilian. They contain everything in my life. I'll remember those. Just give them to me and let me thumb through them."
Her gaze went over her shoulder as she pondered her next move.
"Meet me by the luxury mall in three days. Evening. I should be ready then."

His gaze went down to the box in his arms. "...What do I call you if you don't remember your name?"

"Nembus is still my real name. It's the only one that's stayed consistent." She hadn't a clue what her prior civilian name was, and had long started to accept the reality that she never would.
As Sedna had warned, that knowledge didn't come back when she came back to the other side.
"So, Nembus," she tilted her head. "But if you're asking, my civilian name is currently Delilah Diana Samson. It won't stay that way."
