Akea was quite pleased.
"I'm really glad we met Z. That's my new nickname for you, subject to change if I discover something else I like better."
She couldn't wait to tell her parents. It was so much fun to meet new people, especially if they were around her age. She would have thought her first friend would have been another kahikinian, but she wasn't complaining her parents had a few earthling friends after all. She could be like them and have one or more too. There were a lot more earthlings around than kahis anyway.
She grinned.

"That's a cool nickname. I like it, I will call you Aki in return." She bobbed her head joyfully. "Don't worry, now that I know you're here. I will come back a lot to visit you."
No one within her radius need be lonely when Zasha was on the job.
" I do have to start heading back though it's almost time to eat." That and her brothers would be sent in search for her soon. No one wanted that.

"No problem. My bucket is full and my own family will be expecting me."
She paused. "Before you go, here. Take this with you." She tied off the claws of the crab. She had used soft cotton string.
She handed the little beast to the girl. "My gift for you."
It wasn't all that big but neither was she. So hopefully they could add it to the meal a gift from the sea

She took the still irritated but now harmless crustacean with reverence.
"Thank you. I really appreciate this. Here's a really cool shell I found that already has a hole in it. You can connect string or something and make a necklace. You can have it, make something pretty."
She waved a little, I'll see you soon, good bye!" She star ted off home so her family wouldn't storm the little beach and spook her new friend away.

Aki smiled happily and took the shell. She did a little dance delight.
"Thank you I will! Its so purple!"
It was a very pretty spiral snail shell. She could affix it to almost anything. She would have to think of a good design.
"Safe travel!" she called after the earthling. She waved until she could not see the girl then hurried off home to deliver her edible loot.
