“Of course.” Harika blinked in confusion. “But weren’t you in a hurry? Are you looking to impress someone because I do have a nice tunic that would fit you fairly well.” She admitted as she studied the other earthling. As she spoke she tucked a few more silks into her basket and watched as Jhin passed her a coin for some of them. The rest she paid for out of her own pocket as she talked to him. “We can stop by my shop since it’s on the way to the academy?” She found herself offering finally.

Jhin passed the final coin to the merchant as he picked up a couple of shimmering ribbons for the girls. “I am but at the same time I just realized it may be nice to arrive with gifts.” The ranger smiled towards Harika. “If that’s alright though I would like a dress in addition to maybe that tunic you are thinking of.” Even if Kyril had a lot of things, surely she would appreciate that he took the time to get something like that? Or maybe he truly was finding ways to drag his feet now that he was so close to seeing her again.

“Sure.” Harika nodded as they walked away from the merchant’s stall. “So you are trying to impress a girl then?” She found herself teasing as she looked over Jhin. “That or you secretly have an affinity for dresses? Which is absolutely fine if it suits your tastes.”

“I don’t.” Jhin shook his head though a smile crossed his lips. “I’m getting a dress for someone dear to me along with a few other gifts. She’s an artisan so I doubt I can find anything as lovely as what she can make for a ring so I’m doing whatever else I can.” And once he picked up the clothing from the seamstress then he could hurry to the academy and hopefully find Kyril quickly. He did not think he would be fortunate enough for her to be at the academy but at least they could direct him to where she lived in Matori. That much Jhin was certain of.

“Oh!” Harika beamed at the admission. “So a proposal then! I’ll make sure to show you my best pieces and get you to that academy.” How romantic! She could only hope that one day someone would travel across the country for her. Harika smiled at the thought as she continued walking alongside Jhin so that they could quickly arrive at her shop for a speedy fitting before traveling towards the academy.
