Faisal squeezed Sariza's hands. "My apologies again as I didn't mean to upset you. My mind is a bit frazzled right now since I'm still processing everything." He admitted with a soft sigh. "Even if your father threatens to hang me on his walls I won't be leaving you anytime soon." The swordsman promised as Sariza stood next to him. He would fight for Sariza and for her happiness, especially now that they could be responsible soon enough for more than just themselves. If this family was trusted by Sariza's father to protect her then Faisal would prove that they were worthy of such trust. If anything the last few weeks had shown him how much of a team he could be with Sariza and a strong team would not go down so easily.
The sudden question did catch him by surprise and he found himself pausing as he thought it. "My father was an only child so I do not think so unless there's something he left out concerning his own father's family." Faisal knew his paternal grandmother well but his actual paternal grandfather was a mystery just like Arima's family. "I wish I could offer more insight but I suppose On'os only knows how this will turn out." Would twins be a bad thing? He had enjoyed having a twin brother but then again he hadn't been the one to raise the pair of them, mischievous devils that they had been. Would it be karma if they had a pair of twins just as devious? Though Faisal would like to think that they had grown up well and always showed love when it was most important.

Painted Moose
It was worrisome to be sure. Sariza had thought that a child was only the natural progression of their relationship, but now? She would be vulnerable for months until it arrived and then afterwards, they would have to have the infant guarded and- You’re overthinking. “I wouldn’t be opposed to them, but the…birth itself is a little scary to think about.” She finally admitted. Wasn’t it strange, that with so much on their plate and all that she dealt with in her career that this would worry her? “I suppose we’ll just have to see. In the meantime let’s get this business with the cakes finished. I can smell the sugar from here and it’s horrifying.”

"I'll be there with you every step of the way." Replied Faisal before offering something else. "I know there are several worrying factors right now but if the wedding is less than a month away surely you won't show and we can always hide out somewhere outside of Oba even for the sake of a honeymoon or under the guides of just keeping you safe until the threats are resolved. If you have a child in secret then they cannot target what they do not know about." His family had a smaller manor in Matori and they could always take a few guards there since it was more remote and very few knew of its actual location. If they planned things properly he could do a fake envoy somewhere towards Jatine while they went to Matori. Faisal found himself thinking as he looked over Sariza. His grandmother would hate the idea of hiding an heir but it was for the best, right? Then they could work on finding these threats so that they could freely reveal their family.
"You're right. Cakes first so that no one gets worried about us." Faisal carefully guided Sariza back towards the entry way. "Honesty I'm fine with going after that white one with the golden flowers since it seems the least garnished unless something else caught your eye." Sometimes simple designs were the most elegant in Faisal's opinion.

Painted Moose
The next time they encountered a servant it was marketably easier to hide her ‘illness’. For all appearances it just looked as if they two of them were stealing a moment away to themselves, hand in hand, in a secluded hallway and for now that’s all it was. Sariza was keen on keeping this for them before the world knew about the little heir that was very likely growing inside of her. “That’s how I was born. My mother disguised her pregnancy and then went into hiding. No one ever knew.” She mused quietly. “I don’t want to live like that, but I also don’t want to take on any unnecessary risks.” It wasn’t how she’d planned her pregnancy, but Sariza’s life was built upon surprises and her ability to turn them into victories. She and Faisal would make it work; no matter what direction life took them. So long as they were safe – all of them – it would be okay.
Looking over the offered sweets, Sariza settled on the aforementioned cake and smiled. “It’s lovely, but do you think your grandmother would accept it? It might be a little plain for some of the guests.”

"I never meant to make you live like that either." Admitted Faisal softly, his mouth pressing into a tight line as he thought about things. "We'll do what is best to secure everyone's safety but rather than simply hiding away we'll take the time to plan our attack." The hybrid smiled towards Sariza. "I'm not some simply pampered noble nor are you so we won't be sitting still. We may have to take it upon ourselves but we will find a way." His grandmother most definitely wouldn't approve just like the cake but Faisal was determined to set things right. His family would not live in fear of the shadows rather the shadows should learn to fear them again.
"I think it should be fine. We'll have other more decorated sweets to get their attention." Replied Faisal with a smile of his own. "What matters most is what you like after all. So let's pick whatever suits your taste or rather I suppose your eye since we shouldn't taste too much today." And once he told his grandmother the news the man figured that the cake would be the least of her worries since they would be making a lot more plans than those simply for a wedding now. Either way as Faisal and Sariza went about the rest of their day, trying out things for the wedding the man was more cautious than before and made certain to stay near Sariza in case she needed him.
