He let out a little ‘oof’ noise when Lovely basically rolled on top of him. He kept his arm around him, now tracing the lines of his shoulder blades as he tried to focus on what Lovely was saying, and not how warm and comfortable he felt against him.
“Yeah maybe,” he said distractedly, reaching up a little higher to gently tug on Lovely’s hair, playing with it. He had his other arm still propped behind his head; Ilian adjusted it so he could look at Lovely a little easier.
“I’m sure there are some that don’t want me around. I get in the way of what they want to do. Slaughtering civilians and forcing people to join,” he sighed and shook his head, fingers still tangled in the blond waves and curls.
“We talked about it before, but let’s just do it ourselves. We talked to Axinite about healthcare and they ended up getting a hospital. So let’s put the rest of our plans in motion. We’ll clean up Negaspace, or at least figure out who can help. Maybe Faustite, I don’t know. There aren’t many people I feel like we can go to for help other than Axinite, and he’s too busy for that. We can do our own training, make sure people don’t bring starseeds into the Rift. Teach them how to use their weapons against Senshi and Knights. And aliens, apparently. What do you think?”

What Lovely thought didn’t matter. The truth was, it all sounded incredibly tedious, especially the parts that meant dealing with their peers. But it was what Ilian wanted, so Lovely would do it whether he looked forward to it or not.
“I think,” he said, and shifted again, purposefully, leading Ilian further to distraction, “you’re the only thing about any of this that makes any ******** sense.”
Lovely leaned down to place a kiss against Ilian’s chest, then readjusted his arms to better support his weight, mouthing a trail up Ilian’s neck.
He bit at Ilian’s jaw, gently, hoping to put the topic of Senshi and Knights and aliens on hold, at least for the time being. They couldn’t exactly ignore the mission after accepting it, but they didn’t have to start right that very second either. The aliens would still be around in the morning. There would still be energy and starseeds to collect. They could clean up Negaspace, and train people, and get it through their thick ******** skulls not to bullshit around in the Rift when there were less pressing matters to attend to.
“Do you really want to keep talking about this?” he asked, challenging Ilian with a questioning arch to his brow.
Undoubtedly, the answer would be “no.”
And if not, Lovely could be very persuasive.

He was trying to be good and have a conversation! Instead, Lovely kept distracting him with kisses and with moving against him and --
The kisses up his chest and nips at his jaw were definitely pulling him away from any kind of thoughts he was trying to have about the future of the Negaverse. Or how Lovely insisted that he, of all people, was the only thing that made sense about anything.
But Lovely was warm and soft and --
Ilian grunted his response and shoved at Lovely’s shoulder, but only so he could push him onto his back against the bed and catch his mouth with his own.
