Calming down didn't sound like something Harvey wanted to do, but he tried anyway. He was already tired from all the walking and the weather and his bad luck with not finding a gift and now this? Naturally he was livid about his luck for the day, but he it wasn't like anything that had already happened up to that point could be changed at all, so he took a breath.
"Fine, calm," he sighed, then squinted his eyes at her as a slow confusion sort of set in, starting with not knowing what to call him all the way to the way she told him what to do. Specific instructions, but if it meant getting his old clothes back he'd probably try bending over backwards. Harvey closed his eyes and took another breath, then let his mind wander back to just a few moments earlier, when his clothes were still clinging to him. The discomfort was hard to forget, so that was the easy part. Willing something to go away, though...what in the hell did that mean?
Harvey stood there for a second, eyes closed and feeling a bit like a moron before he finally cracked open an eye. "So what am I willing to go away? These clothes?" he asked, then frowned. "What if they do go away and I wind up buck naked out here?"

“Then I’ll get my camera ready.” She said so as a matter of factly that keeping a straight face overlong was next to impossible to manage. “I kid I kid.”
“I don’t know how to explain it…. It’s like trying to move an inanimate object with your mind versus yelling at it to move. You just have to want to change back but not tell it to. Just- just try it.” Melody huffed while trying to fumble over what she went through to have that wedding dress she had on finally go away.

He was obviously unamused, but he let it go in favor of giving his focus to fixing his current wardrobe situation. Harvey closed his eyes again and did his best to picture himself in his old clothes again, just a regular guy suffering a hot day in the park not staring down a weird white cone. He did his best to imagine his current garb--hell, even the cone--away, "will it" like she told him to, replace it with what he had before…
It didn't make any sense and he honestly felt like an idiot standing there like that with Mel probably taking pictures just for fun, but it was all he could do, right? Short of stripping, which...was not happening. So there he stood until finally, after maybe a minute or so of nothing happening, he felt his shirt on his back again. Still damp, still gross but there. His pants felt like his old jeans again, hot and cloistering but he didn't care, he was just glad to have real pants on again. When he opened his eyes he had to do a double-take; no gloves, his shoes were back, and his forehead didn't feel like he was wearing a headband or whatever around it anymore.
No more pink, and no cone in hand. In fact, no cone even in sight.
It was hard to believe but he really didn't care at this point. Harvey let his gaze rest all of three seconds on Melody before he blinked and tried to think of what to say next. Numerous questions raced through his mind in those three seconds. How did she know what to do? Why did she say she didn't know what to "call" him? Why wasn't she shocked that something like this had happened at all? What did she know about this? How much did she know? The list went on, and yet there was one that just stuck out to him. That demanded asking right then, in that moment.
"Am I ever gonna live this one down?"

“That all depends on you.” There it was again, that look, that smile that would have her cheeks cramping if she didn’t stop grinning like a cheshire cat. “Come on. The car’s over there. If we take much longer it’ll start getting warm inside then I would have froze my a** off for nothing.”

"So that's a 'no.'"
That smile told him most everything he needed to know, so he heaved a sigh and walked in the direction of her car. There really wasn't much else to say, at least not about what just happened. Not right now, not when she brought up the possibility of baking in her car, though he did glance her way curiously at that.
"Freeze your a** off?" he asked as they went. "I thought you liked the cold."

“I do, because I can always add more layers. Unfortunately I can only take so much off when it gets too hot.” She sighed at the thought of walking around the house with her bikini on last year because so many people in the neighborhood had their AC cranked up that the power went out for the next two days while the city worked to get everything up and running again. At least they now had a back-up generator just in case something like that ever happened again.
“If you want I can take you through the Starbucks drive thru. My treat.” Given the shitty day he was having, Melody figured that her roommate could use a bit of a pick-me-up to get him through the rest of the afternoon and evening.

The trip to the car was short and by the time the Starbucks offer came he already had his hand on the door so he could open it and hop in. While tempting, the plan after he got home was to shower then take a nap, because after all of that he really, really needed a nap, so coffee was probably a bad idea.
"Mm...how 'bout pie instead?"

“We can do that! Would you prefer I get a frozen one from the store and bake it at home or would you like to swing inside Sharie’s and get one of their pre-made ones instead?” There was a restaurant about eight blocks away while the grocery store was about five minutes or so just past their house. Either way so long as the red lights were forgiving it wouldn’t take more than ten minutes to get to either location once you factored in the one-way streets.

The man flopped into the car as soon as he was able, the hot seats practically melting the skin off his back as he waited desperately for the A/C to start blowing cold air out again so he could start cooling off. Meanwhile, he weighed the two options she'd given him for a second. Way back, when they first met, he was always cautious whenever she got a little too nice...
"Home baked is always better. You gonna need my help?"
But pie was pie, and by now he knew her better. Pranks and trolling were all well and good, but if they really hated each other he doubted they'd have stayed roommates for so long. There was something there, something genuine between them; friendship, he usually admitted (to himself, behind closed doors when no one was around and asking those probing questions), but mostly he didn't really know what to call it. It was just...them.

“Nah I got it.” Melody turned the key and was rewarded with a stream of cold air once the engine revved. “Do you want me to drop you off at home first before I run to the store. You look like you could use a shower.”

Some of his bangs were damp with sweat as was his shirt collar. But more than just that poor Harvey just simply looked miserable until the AC kicked on and his body seemed to sigh in relief.
Now he wasn't one to smile too much, but he had to at the offer. Too nice was one thing, this was just weird. Not that he minded. He shook his head though, relaxed and with his eyes closed now that the A/C was on. He was probably looking at another case of the sniffles, but he didn't really care. That nap was coming along sooner than he planned.
"Nah, I'll tag along. Keep the car cold for you."

“Alright.” Melody reached over to turn the radio volume down when she noticed Harvey had leaned his head against the window. They hadn’t even reached 9th Ave North before she could hear his heavy breathing. Must have been a stressful day she mused with a bit of a smile. Banter set aside he really was quite sweet while he was asleep. Despite their earlier conversations, Melz let him rest till they got home. Even left the car key in the ignition when she ran inside to buy both an apple cinnamon pie and a blueberry cobbler. The car ride home remained wholly uneventful and only when they pulled into their driveway did she attempt to gently wake him up so they could both go inside.
