The thought of bringing someone home was an odd one. Being around Lucijah settled a part of Ai that had been disquiet these past few weeks, but a sense of traditionalist pride bristled in her blood. She was willingly bringing an earthling as close to Elzira as she could, and further tainting the 'new land' with 'lesser' blood. Remnants of conversations she'd had with other alkidike over the years trickled through her mind and several harsher phrases, mostly spoken by her own lips, echoed like souls in a void.
Serving her goddesses in the way Ai's beliefs demanded would have meant loss of life, and the adjustment to living was a strange one.
"You'll just have to imagine for yourself what it might look like." For a moment she watched the shifter rise...only to sit back down once more. The alkidike herself had no desire to move; her body ached from her near maddening pursuit and now that she'd found her prey her limbs seemed to have atrophied.
"I'm not going anywhere else today. At most I might wash up, but if you want more than that you'll have to pick me up yourself."

[9/10] The almost weary look Ai shot at her almost made the earthling laugh, and also set her mind at ease. Good - they had a bit of time to settle down. "Why do I get the feeling it's a room with like... a single pillow for sitting." She drawled back, nudging at the alkidike with her knee.
As the woman continued to speak, Lucijah thought back to when all they exchanged were cheeky words and insults - and now, Ai was just casually admitting to being tired. It felt like a huge step, on top of all the other admissions of the past hour, and once again that giddy, surreal feeling settled around her.
"Wouldn't be the first time." She reminded with a wink, though she sobered afterward, just ... looking at the woman. Ai, who'd come back to her when all evidence had suggested they'd never meet again.
Part of her still expected to wake up with a knife in her gut, but that wasn't exactly new so she dismissed it. "That's the good thing about this room - you can just jump in the sea to get the stink off." Of course, that did nothing for the itchiness and salt that drying off left behind, but it was better than sour sweat, right?

"Hardly. There are two rooms and for a structure I made when I was fourteen it never leaked once." Of course she'd put a lot of work into it since then, more so under the care of her mentor before she passed, but for the most part the original structure hadn't changed. Ai raised one hand and motioned above her, "I made the ceilings higher than most with exposed beams for my pets. My collections are there, but I doubt they would interest you." Ah yes, jars and vases filled with earthling body parts in various states of preservation would certainly have made her companion think twice about the trip. If they're even still there. With the softer way of things Fiya may have felt it was time for a change and tossed them all out.
"Is that so?" With a grunt, the alkidike pushed herself up to her feet and started lazily removing her clothing. It wasn't a difficult task, considering that her caplet barely covered her breasts to begin with and the loin cloth was just wide enough to make public travel decent.
When Ai was stark naked, she stood with a casual hand on her hip and looked down at the shifter with a smirk. "Be a good girl then and make sure I don't drown. I can't float, but if you try to dunk me I'll put up one hell of a fight."
And just as casually as if she were walking, Ai stepped off the decking and into fell into the water.

Lucijah bit her lip, hard, to keep from snorting humorously at Ai's near indignant response. It did intrigue her that Ai, too, had built her own home - but despite her morbid curiosity, Ai had already said she wouldn't be able to see it, so she didn't get her hopes too high. And besides - with the sack full of ... bits from her sister just feet away, Lucijah couldn't quite stomach imagining what exactly her 'collection' could be.
And there were much more pleasant things to think about, when Ai stood and er... disrobed. There really was nowhere safe to turn her eyes, so she didn't bother. Her mouth went dry though, which was lucky because otherwise she would have made some sort of ridiculous grunting noise moments later as Ai casually dropped into the water, so smoothly that there was barely even a splash.
'Good girl, she'd said, and Lucijah had to furiously scrub her hands over the goose bumps on her arms as she realized that that was as good as an invitation to come in after her.
She wasn't quite so bold - she dressed down to her underclothes but no further, but did slip off the little pier into the water, hissing at the coolness. "You're so tall, you probably touch the bottom." Lucijah grumbled, giving a weak splash towards the Alkidike as she re-emerged, her antennae announcing where she'd come up long before she actually broke the surface again. "And I'm still testing out this 'no gonna kill me' claim - not lookin' to push my luck today."

The rush of cool water consuming her bare, sweat soaked skin sent a chill down Ai's spine. When she surfaced the alkidike whipped the dreads out of her face with a hard shiver. Her body was already starting to adjust to the water, but she could safely say she was no longer tired. Although, another sensation came over her when she saw Lucijah in the water with her. Even though the shifter barely wore more clothing than Ai herself there was something about seeing her like that, in the water with just the bare whisp of modesty, that erased the chill from Ai's bones.
"That's fair," Ai mused, almost a little too casually. She sent a splash right back at the shifter before using her longer legs to her advantage and pushing away, "especially since I said I wouldn't kill you, but not that I wouldn't maim you. It's more fun that way."
And oh the fun she could have. There was a fine line where Ai wanted to make Lucijah hurt, but not in a way that would be sufferable. That bit of her wanted the shifter to be pleased in a way that was wholly unique to Ai. The thought alone unnerved her, as it had from the first day she'd had them, but for the moment she allowed herself to indulge.
After all, her thoughts were her own and so long as they never came to fruition what could they really do?
