"Maybe....but there'd still be the whole castle to play hide and seek in." Hana said as if it were the obvious thing in the world. On Reina's suggestions, she looked down at their little castle and mote. "If we did that....do you have anything to carry water in? I don't know that our hands would be very good. We'd make so many trips back and forth if we did that!" That sounded tiring and not much fun to Hanaeko. But if Miss Reina had something they could use as a bucket that would work better! If only she knew they had been coming to the lake Hana would've brought all her stuff!

Oh spirits. Still, Reina couldn't help but to chuckle at Hana's playful spirit. She would have done the same thing herself if she had a forced bedtime within some sealed off castle! I did break quite a few rules growing up. Mused the teen with a small smile before pausing at the sudden question. Oh that was right! What did they carry the water in? A faint idea floated towards the back of her mind but Reina hesitated. Surely it was too early...right? The Oban looked towards the little princess before holding up a confident finger. "How about we dig the moat and you trust me to figure that part out, okay?" She had a plan but they would need to make the moat first and Reina hoped that by then she could figure out how to make her actual plan to get water work.

The little girl had been adding small embellishments to her castle to try and make it look better when Reina spoke again. Hana looked at her with a skeptical look on her face, her eyes narrowing slightly. Miss Reina was her brother's best friend and her Momma's best friends daughter, so surely she could be trusted to come through with her end of the deal right? She figured if two of her favorite people could trust someone she could too. "Well if you're sure..." Hanaeko said somewhat hesitantly before starting to make her moat bigger. "How big does it need to be?" She asked as she worked to just make it even all the way around.

"I'm sure. " Reina confirmed with a confident nod. "Just a little bit bigger..." She walked around the moat and dug into it herself, a piece of driftwood acting like her shovel. Eventually she finished and then Reina broke off a piece to make a little bridge for their moat. Afterwards they could find little creatures if they wanted to guard the castle and even add more decorations, like shells and such, to the castle itself. Maybe she was getting a bit too much into it but it was surprisingly fun to design something like this. "Okay now I'll need you to turn around and close your eyes so I can get the water to travel from the lake and into here." She teased playfully. "Once you turn back around there will be plenty of water in the moat, I promise." And she would make good on it because already Reina could feel the water inching closer as she waited until Hana was turned around to fill up the moat.

Hanaeko followed the directions dutifully and made the mote bigger, almost to the point where she felt that it was almost too big. There was no way it was TOO big right? It just meant it was safer! Her young mind wouldn't have comprehended how hard it might have been to have to dig a moat that size by hand. That was the benefits of being a child though right? Once Reina told her the moat was big enough she stopped, stood up, and dusted off her hands. Reina still hadn't told her how they were going to get the water into the moat and she couldn't help but be a little suspicious especially when she was told to turn around and close her eyes. Hana's eyes narrowed further at the older girl. "Okayyy..." She said, still not fully trusting her. Still, she did as she was asked and turned around, closed her eyes, and put her hands over them. Because your eyes weren't closed closed unless your hands were covering them, everyone knew that.

Reina smiled when she noticed that Hanaeko was following her directions. It seemed like it wasn't too hard to spend time with the little princess after all. The very thought brought a smile to Reina's lips before she waited for the youngling to turn around. When the other girl's back was turned the Oban teen closed her eyes and focused, her chest tightening before a release of power slowly filled the moat in with water that she dragged from the lake and very air around them. Waiting a few more moments, Reina walking back and forth a few times for added effect, she finally tapped Hana's back. "Finished!" She grinned before gesturing towards the youngling. "Your castle awaits."
Now they had a decorated castle on the sands with a gleaming moat to protect it from any intruders. While Reina was not yet willing to share her secret on how quickly she could fill the moat full of water she was more than ready to spend the rest of the afternoon enjoying the lakeside with Hana before returning back to the house for dinner.
