"There are books that say a cheek for a cheek and to roll the other eyeball." Caerynn informed Namielle, quite incorrectly butchering her Earth education regarding some of the texts she had found regarding 'how to interact with strangers'. At least she was very confident. "Should violence not be met, then, with violence, like how bad service is met with managers?" Did humans socialize in circles? She had thought many of them conversed in linear positions, face to face. Or was this only a circle when there were more than one? It took her a moment to comprehend what the feline- the mauvian- was intending to say, and her mouth dropped in a silent 'oh'. "Yes," she said after a moment of contemplating how best to continue the conversation without revealing that she, also, was not a native resident of Earth, "I am sure that they would appreciate a tooth to match their tooth. Do not bite first." Tapping her knee, she beamed at Nami. "It is good to know you, Nami. Also yes, do not terminate your employment. I am sure that if aliens come to Earth they would not require your full attention, and expect you to change just for them."

...What?
Namielle had to take several moments to translate what had just been said to her. What books had this poor girl been reading if 'cheek or a cheek' and 'roll the other eyeball' were things she had picked up? For a single, horrifying moment, Namielle had to contemplate the possibility she had discovered horror or crime novels. Not the best thing to discover first but that would certainly be one way to learn about humanity's interests.
"Do not mistake pacifism for weakness, often the most powerful of allies can be disinclined to raise a hand until there is no other option," she shook her head slowly, thoughtfully. She wasn't naive in the sense that those she was closest to would display that measure of self control, at least not in the war they were involved in; but she did know that in Athalia's day to day life that restraint was absolutely necessary.
"The world would be a very cruel and very bloody place if the answer was always 'violence'," she added gently and peered at Caerynn. "Where possible, one should strive to understand why the person sees anger as a viable choice and only after you have found that, should you decide if your answer should be the same," she clucked her tongue.
"But in regards to managers please do try to be a little more understanding with them," she winked. "They don't make the rules you know, they just have to make sure they're followed," she chuckled.
"Or at least that is what I understand of them anyway - they don't try to annoy us on purpose. or at least they don't try until we decide to be mean to them," she pointed out.
She paused.
"And that is very considerate of them to be mindful that creatures like me have other things we need to attend to," she smiled. "I shall thank them personally when I have the chance," she added.
"But for now," she motioned to Caerynn. "Do you have anything nice planned for today, or is this your planned activity? Not that I'm judging, some people really do enjoy just watching the world, and people, go by," she murmured as she peered off towards the individuals meandering in the distance.
"Personally I prefer being a little more nosey, so I like to be closer to where I can hear the gossip..."

"Oh no, it wasn't a circle," Rynn objected quickly, "it was a rectangle picture. Or square? It was a moffie. Something about Independent Day. Many of my friends would prefer not fighting, though I think everyone would want to defend themselves." That much, Rynn felt, should be fairly obvious, and very human, yes? The felidae had managed to lift its brows, and Rynn mimicked the gesture, adding a small head tilt; her green eyes, the same color as in her Velencyan form, bright and free of guile. "Would you not punch someone, if your friend was hurt and your big white house was getting hit by lasers?" Still, she grinned. "I will tell my friends to be nice to the aliens." she agreed. "Unless the aliens punch first." Not that it seemed likely. All the experiences she had documented, and a majority of media thus far, indicated the aliens of Earth to be fairly passive creatures until triggered, with fondness for unhealthy beverages and snacks. "I also could not give up my diurnal employment," she sighed, "it is hard to seek that which is lost." the Commodore had said he hoped to find their senshi here, and so.... well... "Have... you met a Sailor Velenia, Namielle?" she asked instead, staring intently at her cookie in a bid to seem innocent.

She gave a laugh at the prospect of lasers bombarding the White House - it was certainly possible, though improbable. Somehow she doubted even the Negaverse would be quite so direct in their machinations as to cause that amount of havoc. That being said if things did get that bad and they were prepared to inflict that much damage then it would certainly pose an interesting question!
"Rest assured that while my main concern will always be to look after my injured friends, if they are comfortable enough to survive in the meantime, then I will certainly defend them by uh...punching the relevant party," she agreed with a small not.
Her question about Velenia though...?
"I don't believe we've met," she replied honestly and pursed her lips. "But if you can find a senshi who is willing to try it, one of them might be able to try to reach out to them using their phone," she pointed out. It was at this point that she paused briefly and eyed Caerynn with a wry smile.
"The majority of humans don't know who the Sailor Senshi are my dear, best to keep that one quiet around others," she warned and tapped her nose. "But if you would like to try calling out to Velenia, I am sure that someone will be happy to try, and perhaps Velenia might well see the message and respond?"
Safe to say Namielle hadn't met everyone in the city, Velenia was a possibility, pretty much anything was, right?

Something that she had said had appealed to the fe- Mauvian- and Rynn took a moment to consider what she had said that could have entertained the other alien enough to cause her to laugh. If she had successfully stumbled upon a previously unknown facet of Earth humor? She could share her findings with the others! But it seemed there had been discussion of violence- or perhaps it was her agreement to have her friends be 'nice' to the aliens? Did huma- well. Namielle was not human.... Did Mauvians laugh when they were happy, similar to some Velencians? Humans, then, must do the same- a commonality in species? Rynn tilted her head, considering the Mauvian's next series of statements regarding the senshi. "Then why did you mention the senshi to me, if they are not common?" her mouth drew in a confused expression, thinking. "I could have been one of the humans that does not know anything about senshi. But you decided to speak to me?" She considered the situation. Thus far, her human guise had been perfect- the feline-esque creature was surely not trying to trick her? Hmmmm. "I would need to find a senshi then." she agreed, and sighed. "They must be terribly difficult to find." They were not- one senshi or another seemed to be around the Velencian camp all the time. But the mauvian didn't know that! Hah! Rynn was so CLEVER. Human Disguise: Upgraded. "How would you find a senshi?"

How did one find a senshi whenever they were supposed to be a simple human? It wasn't as if she would have the technology or the 'sense' that others did, so in regards to that particular conundrum it would be almost entirely based on luck wouldn't it? Namielle pursed her lips thoughtfully at this - she knew all too well that Caerynn wasn't everything she seemed but to shatter that and reveal the truth seemed like it may not go as well as Namielle would have liked.
"Well..." she said slowly and gave a small shrug of her shoulders. "I can always ask one nicely to show up somewhere that would be safe for you to both meet," she suggested. She didn't have too many at her disposal but she could at least organise for one of the less grumpy ones to appear and provide assistance, right?
Then if there was a Velenia then they might get lucky, that would be pretty cool.
"Then when you've met them they can see about contacting who you're looking for," she suggested. Granted this was all on the condition that Velenia was awake, but it didn't hurt to try, did it? Namielle was more than happy to give it a go, particular if their entire reason for being her was to find this senshi. Evidently if they were still alive then the planet may not be feeling the best and to have their senshi provide aid would certainly help to resolve some of that, right?
"It's entirely up to you, you just let me know."
