[8/10] Rivyn... oh no. That was already a foregone conclusion - Rivyn would make sure whatever kid this was came out as theatrical as he did. Uquin couldn't stop smiling though, because that - that would be something to see! He could see the fights now - Maritza bemoaning their fashion sense, while Rivyn praised whatever the little diva wore--
"Spirits help us." He responded, mournfully.
She remembered him from back then? She'd been so... pale then, he had been so worried for her. And he'd been a mess, he couldn't imagine he'd made her feel any better. "Mm. Probably wasn't the person you wanted to see, back then. You hated my guts." Uquin reminded her, without any ill feeling in his words. It was just... a fact, one they'd grown past somehow. He was still so, so thankful they had.
"If it's two again, I don't know what I'll do - die of shock, perhaps." He snorted, but shook his head, looking at her again. "I may not be as sharp a healer as I once was, especially compared to Belrean healers but... I sincerely doubt it. I think we're clear of that potential hurdle."

Watching the realization sink into Uquin's features was absolutely priceless. "At least you can say they'll be cared for. He's wonderful with kids; dramatic and flashy, but wonderful." She couldn't count the amount of times he'd brought a baby or two to work with him just to give her a break when she was too proud to talk to Uquin. He'd done it with no reservations; had even practiced with a sleeping Zadia curled up in a papoose on his chest.
"Mmm. If I'd had the strength by hour three I would have strangled you." She very distinctly remembered the midwife asking during a particularly painful contraction if she'd like to hold Uquin's hand and Maritza said some very unsavory things to that poor woman. Hopefully she'd mentally recovered from that.
"I feel like it's just one. It sounds weird, but I just have this feeling."

That was true. Rivyn had a ... certain way with kids, a creativity that he felt their little brains needed. Growing up here would be... good for them. He just hoped that... Lioe came to visit, often, because he missed him. And Ujana, and Padma... being separated would be painful, but he wanted to stay by Maritza's side this time.
And lords, but that labor had been ... a lot, even before Maritza nearly bled out. How could you be there for moral support when the other parent hated your guts? Still, he was glad he hadn't missed it, not when it could have gone so wrong.
"I would have deserved it. Probably." Uquin agreed, shrugging a shoulder. And... ah. "Well, they call it mother's intuition for a reason, love." He chuckled, then looked up, watching the ship. It was far enough now that it was becoming hard to see it, in the distance...
"... The first time went so fast. I hope... together, this one takes a little longer."

As much as she missed having Lioe by her side Maritza couldn't say she hated the idea of primarily raising this child in Belrea. They would take trips, of course, but there were certain things she could expose them to much earlier. Academies, for instance, or the academy should they show promise. Wouldn't that be something.
"You'll probably be yelled at this time around too; fair warning." She couldn't help tossing a grin his way before starting to shift. Since the airship was good and on it's way now they really should be getting home as well. "I don't tolerate stressful situations well without a few salty words." Before fully moving to stand she dipped close and placed a chase kiss to his cheek...before leaning over to n** at his ear.
"We're taking our time, remember? Making the most of it?" They'd both grown so much and now...now they were in a better place. She couldn't promise that she would never yell at him again or that he would always be this happy around her but it was already so much better. "I said from the start that I wanted to enjoy this pregnancy and I am because we're doing it together."

[10/10] Oh, yes. Well... that was expected. Uquin huffed, eyes crinkling into a smile at that cheery grin she shot him. Spirits, but he loved her... his wife. He rubbed his thumb against the new tattoo, his heart feeling like it would burst as she kissed his cheek - only to jump, hissing softly at the playful n**.
He stood and moved after her, reaching to playfully tug on a lock of her hair. "Right. Together. Perhaps 'together' we can find some supper before you get crabby again-" He held up his hands in surrender at her ensuing look, smirking. "Just making an observation, love."
