Ceecee smiled as she moved along with Kashti. The pair were looking for a new home after their last den had flooded a bit. She knew Kashti was sad over the loss of the den. She glanced back at him with a smirk to help cheer him up.
“Oh come on now. This just means we can make a new place and make it even better.” She watched his eyes flick up and give her a smile back in response. She dropped back a few steps and shoulder bumped him.
“See not so bad.”
“Your right.” He did feel better seeing her confidence. It was something that always brightened his day. That and her understanding of him. Even now his eyes flicked to her matching stockings that helped calm his heart.
“Though the next place I suppose we have to make sure is above flood level.” Well the last one had been had it not been for some unusual weather several days ago in their home. They had been looking for a new place for quite some time but none of the places they had checked had been good enough and in truth Kashti was feeling a bit disheartened.
