"You just love the idea that if someone gave you permission and liked it, Uncle Ned couldn't touch it." The idea itself with amusing to Delilah and frankly, if they had the space, she might have talked her father into allowing Mathias to show off some of his work here.

Glass didn't allow for that sadly.

"Some steady work that doesn't leave you the color of a plum might do you some good. Though I heard an odd rumor the other day." Leaning forward, she propped one elbow on the desk as she gazed towards the windows. "Seems there is a fighter in the MMA world who is side-gigging as an underwear model."

"I mean that's certainly a plus, and if it improves someone's property and word gets around and they get more traffic because of it, and Ned sees a dip in sales at some of his locations..." He shrugged. "I mean, he won't come crawling for me to compete but knowing I got his blood pressure up again will be a win."

Oh, he could do some things with glass if he'd had the time and the pre-planning, the problem would be it would... somewhat ruin the effect of being able to see out of the window and half of the perk of working in the White Building was the view of downtown.

But enough time, enough paint, and the right windows left on - and he could make something DAZZLING.

But it would be a complete and utter nightmare to clean up. So probably the best to leave it as a dream not quite seen through.

Her last statement made him c**k his head. MMA fighting underwear model? He had to think for a few more beats before he realized just who she was talking about and he let out a low scoffing noise.

"You mean the Nemean Lion," He said with a snort. "He's a boxer who sells boxers. It's cute but I'm not entirely convinced he's not paying for his wins - nobody goes that long undefeated and not taking anything more than a light sweat. Can't prove it obviously - but I'm sure if he and I got in a ring I'd show him a thing or two. But he's not MMA, he's more old-school, so it will never be unless he gets cheeky and decides to try his hand at a more... robust sport."

Not that Mathias thought that boxing was in any way inferior - just different - and less versatile. Definitely more a sport than the raw fighting that was MMA.

"Which one of the hens brought you that chicken nugget?" He smirked.

"Melody." It was an amusing moment to watch how his mind flicked through the fighters landing on the one she had heard some of her sorority sisters chit-chatting about. Someone had been down the rabbit hole of social media and come across, in their words, 'a Greek God of a man'. That had resulted in everyone in the house grabbing phones to see.

"Not my type but pretty easy on the eyes. He's the latest dream man of some of the girls but it will pass when the next 'Fabio shows up. I didn't catch his real name, just that he fought and modeled which I found to be a combination that didn't add up to me. Of course fighting and painting never has but when I look at your background..." The words trailed off as she shot him a look and a halfway careless shrug.

"Didn't realize he was a boxer. Guess I'm so used to your fights that I forget there is something else out there besides the showmen and women of the WWE." And who could forget that made for TV drama.

"But, while I'm sure you could put him in his place, how about we ust avoid that for now."

He was sure the name should ring a bell but to be fair - most of her sorority sisters were named some sort of Melody, Mercedes, or Angelica that it was hard to really keep track of who was who unless he had a face to the name - and even then his ability to retain names and faces was 80/20 at best. The downside to rich sorority girls - they had a terrible tendency of looking a lot alike.

"I mean, I'd rather not go up against him either to be honest, so it's not really on my to-do list," He smirked. "That said I'm not at all surprised."

He actually wasn't entirely sure what his cousin's type WAS. It wasn't that she didn't show interest in the opposite sex - she just never made a big to do of it. Honestly if she started seeing someone (that wasn't carefully cultivated by the family) he'd feel a lot better about things. But, that wasn't his call - and he wasn't about to nose into her life like that.

Yet.

"It's easy to forget," He agreed. "But also good to keep an eye on other stuff just in case it has something novel to bring to the ring."

"Mixing styles again?" She cocked a brow, taking it easy for a few moments as the topic was on him. This was what she was far more used to in being seen and not so much heard. It easier that way really and kept most people a safe distance away. Very few people got past her walls.

Even fewer past the moat of alligators behind those walls. The last person she had resulted in...well, those were thoughts and stories best for drinking.

"Well, chances are unless you are in a bar fight or somehow end up at the same formal event," which models were not uncommon patrons of, "My guess is you won't have to worry about it past conversation."

"Oh, and Melody is the blonde. Green eyes. The theater major with a minor in Latin you met last Fall when she tripped and literally fell into the bushes outside." As if that might help...she knew he didn't keep them all straight.

"Still finding something that really sticks," He said. "My punches and grapples are good, but need to work on my leg game."

Kicking and knee jabs were just - not something he wholly focused on - but he should work on them more and he knew it.

"That's valid," He said. "And even then - probably not an issue." He had no desire to go up against a guy with a winning streak as good as his. Not yet anyway.

"Oh, her," He said nodding his head. "How is she by the way? Still trying to convince people that latin really isn't dead?"

"What Latin major or minor isn't?" Delilah offered with a bit of a sigh as she glanced back at her father's computer when something like a bell dinged through the air. It was enough to get her to sit back upright and turn her focus back to the system.

"What in the world?" The question was more a statement as she seemed to shift back into her business persona. Straight back as her eyes narrowed slightly, unsure she was seeing correctly.

Across the screen appeared a worm, inching along before it stopped, looked at the viewer, and seemed to smile as a speech bubble appeared.

Catch me if you can!

It then appeared to eat a hole in the desktop and disappear into it.

"Son of a..." Delilah cursed, jumping to her feet and killing her father's system by yanking the cord out of the back. "Those punks..."

Turning to her computer, she began typing in a fevered rush to the IT department who all but stopped responding....

Before flying into a frenzy once more.

Mathias had seen people turn on a dime for most of his life. Growing up on military base after military base, it was easy to see people go from just chatting about the kids or the weather to being on a suddenly alert and aware footing. Delilah's response triggered muscle memory, and he was on his feet even before she started to curse.

He could feel his anger starting to well up - even more so when Delilah yanked the cord hard on the computer and powered it off the "hard" way. That was bad. Even with his limited technical knowledge he knew that was Defcon 1 level bad.

"Do you need me for anything?" He asked, doing his best to keep his voice calm and steady. "If not, I think I need to go pay our cousins a.. very direct visit."

"Unless you can find a virus and save the system," Delilah started, trying to make heads or tails out of what the department was saying before reaching for the phone on her father's desk "Then no."

She picked it up, pressing the extension used programmed basically for widespread news. It rang every director of the divisions at the same time, saving all the phone tags and alot of headaches.

"Everyone offline, now!" She nearly ordered, not even watching Mathias any longer as she shut her own laptop, grabbed her bag and started moving again.

"Mail room unless they made a run for it. Body bags are in storage..."

She was only half kidding.

"Noted," Mathias said, and was moving even as she started to grab her things. He'd worry about anything he'd forgotten later. As it was, the two in the mailroom were about to get the butt chewing of a lifetime.

He did hold the door open for her though as he exited, knowing full well that she was going to be a gale force storm once they were out of the office. Then he played wedge to the elevator - not that it mattered.

The IT department was probably already pulling plugs on servers and locking everything down - if they were smart - and as it was there was very little he could do as far as tech.

So he slid into the elevator, holding the door open for her even as he keyed the button that would take him down to the mailroom.

"You know, we could just dump them off the coast - be cheaper." He said to his fuming cousin.

"Too much of a paper trail." She muttered, slamming her hand against the 14th floor for the IT department before jerking her hand against the door closed more times than it needed.

If stairs wouldn't have been on the other side of the floor, she might have taken them instead.

"But if you see a tree grinder, just throw them into that." The words were quick as she watched the floors climb downward waiting for the ding

"I'm sure they can be useful as mulch."

"I might know a guy with a good woodchipper," He said. "Does landscaping on the sly when he's not punching other guy's teeth out."

He leaned back against the wall of the elevator, letting her blow off steam as they descended probably far too slow for her liking.

"Try not to scare your geeks too much," He teased lightly. "You might end up with fifteen date requests in your email."

Or a work stalker - but he'd take care of that if it came to it.

As the elevator dinged for her floor, he nodded. "Good luck."

The only answer Mathias got from her as she moved through the not completely open doors of the elevator was a raise of her middle finger. Dates? Ha! That would be a laugh.

"Don't break anything!" She called back, glancing one more time over her should to mouth a quick 'thank you' before disappearing through the glass door and into the 'Pit' as they called it.

All she could do now was pray and work.

"I promise nothing!" Mathias called back as she thanked him, bowing his head in a nod in reply. Oh, he'd not break anything the company owned. Their cousins on the other hand were an entirely different matter entirely.

If they were smart - they would have found themselves suddenly having an engagement elsewhere, their apologies they totally forgot about their appointment with their will to live. But, Mathias was fairly certain they were still in the building - probably laughing to themselves at their little... sly trickery.

Trickery that was probably going to cost White Industries a hefty price tag to fix. Easily five if not six figures depending on just how wide-spread the infection had gotten - and that was just in equipment costs, not even factoring in the overtime pay for IT.

Mathias allowed himself to stew in his anger as the doors closed and the elevator resumed its trip down to the lobby level where the main mailroom was located. He was the black sheep for a multitude of reasons - one of them was his penchant for being physical when it felt it was warranted with family.

The boys were about to learn just why you did not raise Mathias' White's Ire. Oh they would live... to regret everything they'd done today.

Think we can call that done and dusted.
