She inspected his chosen camping spot and she had to say she was impressed at the lovely view over the river.
She set about fishing and caught them some trout which she speared herself on a home whittled fish catching spear.
She was rather proud of the edge all of her extra sword training had had on her hand to eye coordination.
"Dinner for three." She said gleefully as she returned with her catch to where Raolvar was. He had eventually told her his name. Once he had seemed to trust her.

As she had been fishing, he had been constructing a fire among the river stones. It was cool to see a girl fish. She was quite graceful at it and had soon caught more than one, it seemed like every time he looked over she had a wriggling aquatic creature stuck on the end of that great spear of hers.
It was quite cool. The women of his tribe had preffered the gathering side of life as opposed to the fishing and hunting that the men more so favored. There had been exceptions of course, his own mother had liked to fish after all. He missed her the most he thought.
"Well done." He told her as she brought her catch to the fire. "Do you want to cook them or should I?" Cooking skills were either here or there.

She peered at the fish. "You better cook it, I'm pretty tired, I'll cook tomorrow night if that's okay?" Her first day of really hard travel had worn her out pretty good. She was more than glad for the company and support. How fortunate that they had been leaving town at the same time.
She cleaned the fish and descaled them, then she gave them over into his care.
She felt like she could eat a feast and still have room to spare. So this was what travel did to one's stomach. She was glad she had packed so much food.

"Yeah, I'll cook it, its fine." He had gotten rather good over the last while in his own opinion. He deboned and spread the fish out after he had rubbed them with spices, laid over the flames they sizzled up nice and tender.
"Fresh fish beats all, right from the stream, its like a taste of the land."
He rather thought it tasted so good because he was so hungry but he enjoyed it twofold.
"Top that." He could lay out a challenge as good as anyone else and he didn't hold back from her.

"This is really really good." She was suddenly really glad it had been he who cooked the fish, she didn't have any fish recipes that even came close to this. She would have to make a root veggie stew and hope that she could add a little small game to the pot tomorrow. Good thing she had brought her small servicable hunting bow. She wasn't the best but she could at least handle tomorrows dinner.
"Challenge accepted." She mumbled out of a mouthful of food, gleefully.
