“Whoa sounds like your dad had a hard time and love department,” his own father had found love easily enough, but no one had ever stuck until his mother, their souls matched exactly. "My dad managed to snare my mum with his huge orange eyes and that was that. He tilted his head conspiratorially at the other boy. "They say love just finds you."
Both pretences laughed uproariously, they felt like the love was way more complicated than older family members ever made it seem.

"He did at that, I sincerely hope his bad luck is not hereditary. He smiled Syaa really knew how to break the ice. The other boy seemed to have acclimatized to the cave situation rather quickly. The boy didn't seem all that old either, he had probably lived quite sheltered life thus far. There were some kids when they came to mature that wouldn't let anyone else near them, Syaa in contrast had no fear.

It should be about time to put the potatoes on the fire his stomach was the only thing keeping him awake, Syaa poked the potatoes into the fire while his exhausted companion nodded off. When the time was right, he put the fish on as well. The smell of cooking food filled the cave in his own belly screamed with hungry fury. When everything was ready, he poked it Thallassa with a well aimed toe.
"It's ready now come on stuff yourself." Syaa all laid out the food and set to work eating, it was rather good.

Thallassa 10 He dragged his sorry hide over and fell on the food like a grateful but ravenous beast. It was so extremely fresh that it made his mouth water. "Whoa, you're pretty good cook, too. I like your chances of finding a good wife at least, maybe you can teach me what you did with the fish so that I can get a good wife too." He took that as a joke but a part of him was still worried that his dad might have a relationship curse.

Syaa smiled, "It was nothing special, I just mixed a few of the spices you had with salt and rubbed into the fish after I stuffed them and had the scales removed. His family liked to take turns cooking at home and he had gotten rather good at it by practice. "I'm glad you like it though, I feel proud that someone who is not blood related to me likes it too." He liked making others happy. "Well I'm glad we got stuck out in that storm." He saw the other boy nod with his mouth full of food. He had finally made a friend!
