"Of course," Nakia commented cooly. She stayed the closest to Vaani, offering the tintural little bites she'd pinched off from her fruit. Out of the five Nakia was the most calculating and she certainly had a look about her that Vaani had a hard time reading. What was she seeing in him that she wouldn't tell anyone else?
"We're fine; I think we're all just eager to see how close you really live." Laksha commented and honestly Vaani couldn't disagree. She wanted to know, even if it meant getting on his nerves for a little while longer.
"Um..what's your name?" Vaani asked.

Eudom raised a brow at that but didn't question it. If anyone wanted to try something to his farm then they would be sorely disappointed because he was willing to fight tooth and nail for the land his grandparents had left him. "We just have to cross the valley." He noted as they walked along the edges of the forest where it dipped down into the rocky terrain. A slight stream crossed the land, but Eudom didn't mind it as he walked through the shallow part that barely touched his ankles. "Eudom." He replied without thinking, his expression shifting into a wince as he realized his mistake. Even if they attested to not being spirits the man was usually much more loathe to reveal such information. Names had power after all.
"And all of your names?" He found himself asking as he kept an eye out to make certain no one slipped in the shallow water. Surely the stream went underground because at the other end of the valley it became so much deeper with little rapids where the earth spat the water back out. Thankfully though Eudom had figured out this was the best place to cross so hopefully the girls didn't mind getting their feet a little wet.

As the girls walked their chatter died down to little murmurs passed between the five of them. Vaani and Nakia stayed mostly quiet, though Vaani tried her best to keep the tintural's attention. At times she would say something sweet to it, had even offered it more snacks, and was just...generally enjoying the walk. It was nice to see new places, no matter how close they were to her actual home. And maybe that was the key; like a little secret right under their noses.
"My name is Vaani. This-" she motioned to her closest sister, "-is Nakia. The one whose always arguing is Laksha, then theres Varshana and Zahira." Vaani carefully picked her way across the water, holding her hand out for Nakia and helping her over. The last to cross Laksha who curled her lip at the idea of moving over the water.
"When I make the soup, would you like me to bring you some? If you'd rather not I understand." She wasn't going to force her company on him any longer than they had already, but still...it was nice to offer.

"Vaani and Nakia." Eudom repeated before also repeating the rest of the names softly under his breath. He would try his best to remember them even if he did not plan on seeing any of them often in the future. The Yaeli shifted his satchel over a shoulder before finally crossing up the narrow path that led through the rest of the valley and into the open fields of his farm. "Soup?" Eudom blinked before slowly giving a nod. "If you don't mind the walk then I would not be opposed to soup." He doubted she would actually come to visit him with soup like that, right? Why walk all this way out here to share food? Eudom pursed his lips at the thought but kept it to himself. He had already agreed after all and he couldn't be rude - not when they were helping him with the tintural. Pesky thing.
Now that they were out in the open field the teen gestured forward. "The farm begins here." All of these acres belonged to his family and sitting there in the center of it all was the larger house with its wide dining room that thankfully could sit the entire group. A couple of barns and sheds to the side as well that he worked hard to upkeep even though he was on his own. "If you'd like tea or something I could brew some water once we get the tintural set up in a pen."

It was a lot, she knew, but the fact he was at least trying meant a lot. It was certainly more than most strangers had tried for over the years. "Walking is good for your heart so I don't think it would be any trouble at all. Besides, we always make a lot and it would just go to waste if we didn't share." Of course she was lying. Their family tried to micromanage expenses, but surely sharing a little with a neighbor wouldn't hurt.
Her eyes took in the sight before her and honestly, Vaani couldn't believe such a lovely place was hidden away like this. She never would have thought to come out this way, much less than anyone would have made a life out here.
"I think some tea would be nice~"
