Oh for On'os sake! The teen raised a brow at the sudden name, his mind searching for any connection but coming up blank. Maybe he had been in Matori for far too long. Still, he couldn't help the rush of anxiety that came up when he realized how loudly she had spoken. "Well I hope you enjoy running so we can get you that tea." His fingers tightened around her hand as he started moving quickly through the shadowed alleys, his precise pathing a testament to how many times he had run through here before.
Eventually the smells of must started to turn into something more pleasant as they turned from tight alley to tight alley. A small bakery awaited them in the edges of the main market and Valek found himself picking an old lock and slipping inside with ease. "The old lady won't be coming here for a bit so we have some time to rest before dawn." He mused as he glanced about the familiar place where he had hid so many times before. It would be easy enough to start a kettle and pull together the herbs he needed from the satchel at his side and the storage shelves. "Just...just stay here, okay?" He requested before slipping out of the backroom so that he could prepare a cup of tea for the Oban.

Oh she definitely didn't enjoy running! It brought her nausea back to the forefront and made the world around her look as if it were disappearing. If asked to say anything about passing buildings there was just no way she could! One moment they were skirting around the side of a withered shack and the next it was an older stone structure and THEN-
It was just one alley after another! She did her best to keep up, if only because he kept tugging and despite any grunts she made in the hope of slowing down he didn't. And honestly, if she even noticed he'd broken inside Sariza didn't make mention of it. If anything she just thought he worked there.
"Do you get many cus-?" Sariza turned to start up a conversation but...found herself alone in the room. "Hello? Are you still there?"

Just a couple more hours. Valek found himself groaning as he heard Sariza's voice trailing after him. He promptly decided to ignore it in hopes that no one else was in the building. If anything he'd just leave her here for the guards to deal with if someone did come barging in. It was still a much safer alternative to leaving her back in those alleys in this state. Eventually the water heated and Valek tossed in a variety of herbs that may not have smelled the most pleasant, but would still serve a purpose. It was one perk from having a mother who worked as a healer and the only thing he still held onto about her.
Unfortunately or thankfully it seemed that the Oban hadn't figured her way out of the room and Valek handed her the wooden cup of steaming tea upon his return. "Drink this and rest up." He ordered, his desire for any pleasantries rather low this early in the morning, and all Valek could do now was wait and keep an eye out for anyone approaching the bakery. At least any workers should be coming in on the main floor above rather than coming to the basement storage for now. If not then welp. He had done his part and was ready to ditch her at any time now...unless he asked for some reward in return. But would that even be worth the hassle? He truly couldn't tell especially for someone wanting to go to a flower shop instead of the noble district. She was probably just some unfortunate spirit that crossed paths with the wrong people. Shame, but it is what it is.

Sariza visibly relaxed when he came back into the room and offered him a kind smile. "Thank you; that's very kind." If his tone put her off then she didn't show it. Her father had said much worse in a much harsher voice so at best the Oban just took the cup and gently sipped out of it.
"You're...a lot younger than I thought..." Sariza leaned in a bit to get a good look at his face. He just seemed so focused and stern that she hadn't been able to get a good read on him. "Why were you outside at night?"

"Does that matter?" Quipped back Valek almost too defensively as he scooted back away with a slight flush, "Not everyone gets to decide how their life goes...young or old." He muttered, his expression softening as he tried to withdraw his bitter feelings towards members of his family away from the innocent Oban. It wasn't as if he could blame her for anything other than this unexpected adventure tonight, something he had opted to do after seeing her instead of simply passing by. "It just happens that I enjoy trouble. Lucky for you that I'm not too horrible a guy, right?"
"We have some time to burn so maybe try to sleep once you finish drinking that. " Valek offered as he settled back against the wall, the cool brick relaxing after spending the last hour or so darting through back alleys. "I'll wake you up if anything happens and we'll head to that flower shop around dawn." And from there on she would have to take care of herself. Valek could only hope that she would find the aid that she needed at this place...not that it was his business of course, but still.
