“Hmm?” Kyril blinked before glancing over towards what Faisal was gesturing towards. “Oh!” She grinned before walking over towards the display and opening it with flourish. “I present to you my crystal bouquet.” Kyril carefully picked up a vase full of metal roses that had crystal petals, “Does your intended enjoy flowers? These are the best because you won’t have to worry about them wilting away.”

Faisal watched as Kyril placed the roses on the table. After a moment of studying it from across the room the hybrid slowly approached. Before he had only caught a shimmer of color coming from the roses where a stray ray of sunlight had showed up but now that the whole bouquet was in the sunlight he could see how vibrant the crystals truly were. They shimmered like the ocean on a bright day but in a variety of colors that cast light throughout the room. It was like he had caught a rainbow and splattered it across a canvas of stone. Faisal traced a finger along one of the stems of the roses and marveled at how the gold was twisted in such a way that it even had delicate thorns. “Well consider me impressed.” He acknowledged with a smile towards Kyril. “Please tell me these are more than simply for display.”

“For you?” Kyril tapped a finger against her bottom lip thoughtfully before nodding. “I can give them up and make more in the future. Does she really like flowers then?” The hybrid asked with a small smile as she watched the way Faisal studied the piece. She was proud of it since it was one of the latest ones she had created since returning from Belrea. Learning more metal working from the Geian artisan had truly helped improve her own crafting skills.

“Yes.” Faisal found himself nodding as he glanced over towards Kyril with a smile. “She always talks about enjoying gardening so maybe this would be a good gift.” It wasn’t like a hairpiece or some earrings...it was just a simple display of flowers that would never wilt. Hopefully it could bring some warmth to the cold halls of her home while she recovered. Faisal’s expression softened at the thought before he glanced back towards Kyril. “How much do I owe you?”

Kyril chuckled. “Don’t worry about it.” The hybrid girl shrugged as she started preparing wrapping for the glass roses. “Your family has helped sponsor my mother’s students over the years so it’s not a big deal for me to give you an early wedding present.” She winked playfully towards Faisal. “Just take care really good care of the roses and your partner, okay?” Kyril could only smile as she watched Faisal carefully take his package out of the shop and headed back up the street towards the upper estates. Hopefully things will work out well for them. Kyril felt her own chest tighten as she thought of her own uncertain future before slowly shaking her head. As long as others find happiness then I’m happy for them.
