If he'd gone into Justice then perhaps there would have been a practical use for his muscles, but as it stood Aurick was just buff for no other reason than it felt good. "I mean, that is a good idea, but it's not very creative, you know? At least with baking I can show a little of myself in my work; this kind of thing is just too impersonal."

Faenna's lips pursed thoughtfully. "Earthling standards are so strange," she replied with a shake of her head. "No matter what path we follow, all Aishans value strength and physical competence." Speaking of competence.. "I don't know. I think this mill thing is pretty neat. I mean, look at the wings! They're huge! And it's just for crushing up the grain, right? Does doing it yourself actually show in the food?"

“Clearly you’ve never had quality earthling cooking.” Aurick crooned. “Listen, next time you’re in the capital come to this-“ The baker dug around in his pocket and produced a little card with a hand inked picture of a cupcake and a few words, “-address and I’ll show you what you’re missing.” As to whether or not she really would come he couldn’t be sure but what didn’t hurt was drumming up business for the bakery.

"I don't know... Everyone who has ever served me anything has told me their food is the best," she teased playfully as she accepted the card. She peered at the words closely, and silently hoped that she was going to be able to make sense of what it said later. "Maybe I'll bring you something as well so we can trade! We've got a few cooks who do some really good work with the ingredients in Chiume."

“That sounds great! I’ll look forward to your visit, then.” Aurick perked up a little and made a motion as if tipping a hat. “Well, I really have to get going now. Enjoy the rest of your mill watching!” With a friendly wave he made his way on down the road.
