Ny thought this over for a moment. Two others? And they looked a bit like her, apparently. Although she was sure she was prettier. "Where're they?"

She let herself lean against one of Rahima's legs, shaking her salmon head a little. "Mama gave me food a'fore she fell 'sleep." She was full, and content, even though she hadn't actually gotten far in her explorations today. Still... there was always tomorrow. She just had to figure out how to get away from mama and Iffi.

"That's good; she's a good mama. You're a lucky girl." She twitched her tail, remembering being half-starved when she was cub by uncaring captors.

"Well....my boys are hidden away nearby. I'm looking for a den, you see." She wasn't sure what else to do. Rahima wasn't sure still. Really, she needed to talk to Ithi and re-meet Denge. "Do you know of any good spots around here? I suppose you've explored everywhere around here by now."

[Sorry. I was replying to a huge RP on another site. x__X]

Ny shook her head a little. "Nope. Mama doesn't let me go out." True. Denge liked being everywhere her daughter was. Nyunya didn't really mind this much, but it seriously cut into her exploration time. And when she did manage to get away from her mother for a few moments, the caves were the last place she wanted to explore. She preferred the wide, open spaces, crawling over tree roots and chasing butterflies through the trees.

((Sleep time round here whee ))

Rahima nodded; okay. Caves were actually her last choice of den, for the record. A sandy scrape under a fallen tree, a hollow half covered by vegetation, a burrow under a sunwarmed rock...she hated to say it but in lew of finding Denge and Ithi, perhaps she should leave the little beauty be for now, and find her sons a soft safe home.

"Okay Ny."

She had been about to say something, when she suddenly caught sight of a beetle crawling across the stones. She wiggled herself free of Rahima's paws with only a slight stumble, and crept after it, tail high in the air as she crawled after the unsuspecting beetle, chin to the ground. This was one of her favourite pastimes: stalking bugs, and trying to catch them. Of course, once she does catch them - if she does - she hasn't a clue what to do with them. It's just the thrill of the 'chase' that she enjoys.

Rahima lay down to watch, shifting through her thoughts and planning what else she needed to do this day. Find a den and settle her young ones, visit Ithi.... She smiled watching the cubhood hunt before her.

At a mewling sound, she was on her paws swiftly, listening. Turning to her possible grandchild, she left her for a few moments to chase her beetle alone.

And chase her beetle alone she did. She hasn't noticed Rahima's disappearance, her attention claimed by this small insect she's now trapped between her paws. She can feel it wriggling, tickling the sensitive pads, and little giggles fall from her maw. Then she releases it, watching it eagerly as it scuttles away from her, tail flicking. When she feels it's gotten far enough away from her, she pounces it again. This, she repeats.

Presently, Rahima came back, sitting down to watch again. But it was not long until she called out to the girl again, a hint of a 'purr' - a contented growl, more like - in her kindly voice.

"Ny? Come here a moment, please? I'd like to say goodbye properly."

Ewansiha and Nogea needed her and her search was not yet ended. As lovely as she was, Rahima could not stay and watch her chase forever,

Ny stopped at Rahima's words, turning to face her slowly, releasing the once again captive beetle from her paws. Goodbye? Already? But Rahima was family! Yet another thing the little cub didn't understand; it was never 'goodbye' with family, it was always 'see you in a little while'. Her black-tipped ears drooped a little as she made the slow walk over to Rahima, her expression rather sullen all of a sudden.

"I'll see you soon, I hope, dear." She nuzzled the little one's little tuft of pink fur again. Rahima had never known her own mother or father and her pride had hardly be 'family'. Her true family was a scattering of dear friends, throughout many lands with many distances between them all. So for her, goodbye went paw in paw with see you soon.

"I need to speak to Denge and Ithi later...maybe you'll be with them then?"

She perked up a little at Rahima's words, burying her face into the fur of her chest in a nuzzle, purring quietly for a moment. The knowledge that she'll see Rahima again has pacified her somewhat, although she still wished the femme wasn't leaving.

But she nods her head, and looks up at her. "Prob'ly," she murmurs. It was rare she got to be by herself, after all. Usually, where Denge was, Ny was there, too.

Rahima smiled, noticing how the pink of Ny's head matched her chest-fur. Even if she wasn't her grand daughter, she'd take the cub into her heart as family anyway. Bakhti wasn't really her sister, and she still loved and missed the honey toned Pridelander. So why not?

"See you soon, dear." She bent her head to nuzzle her once more before turning to trot back to her own youngsters, pausing to call back. "Take care!"

She dropped dejectedly to her rear on the smooth stone, her ears still a little droopy. She didn't really want Rahima to go. She felt comfortable around the female, and she liked that feeling.

"See you soon," she replies, and although she feels a little better at the promise, she still doesn't have the happiest tone. "Take care, too!" It only seemed polite to say such a thing, and Denge always wanted her polite. She waves a paw, watching Rahima go for a moment, before beginning to climb back up towards the den. Maybe she'd tell Denge who she'd met. Or maybe she'd wait until Rahima came back. The little cub didn't know, but she was suddenly anxious to snuggle up with her mother. And hopefully Denge was still asleep so she didn't get in trouble.
