Relieving to hear that Jet wasn't going to blow him off this time. Everyone would see it through, hopefully to positive conclusion. Jet mentioned Arles, and Faustite knew he would have to hash out what the youma did and how it would best be used.
Of course, there were far more details than the big picture that needed establishment. There would be time for that once they secured some recruits.
"Jet, like your idea of contacting the people who helped rescue that Lieutenant." Hell, get the Lieutenant, too, if he survived the Rift long enough to get rescued. "Kamacite, post a missive in case we find anyone else. I'll see about getting some gear." He could use his rank privilege to demand Taenite purchase a few things, if need be. Better if he would do so by simply being asked, though.
"Start on the tenth if we can. Just need enough people." Easier said, he supposed — no one thought wandering into the Rift was a good idea.
He stood, dusted off the rubble that collected against his clothing. "Stop by my office if there's anything else. Don't call; keep melting the communicators." Should've been Squiddy's job to pick up for him, but that b***h Ganymede crippled him in more ways than the obvious.

Kamacite nodded, still silently listening to the other three discuss what to expect and what they wanted to do. He already knew what his mission was. He’d fought it before, he knew what to expect. He just had to worry about anyone else joining him.
Like Faustite said, he couldn’t his own safety, much less anyone else’s. Hopefully whoever decided to join them knew the risks and were willing to pull their weight to track down the youma that had been eluding them for so long.
And hopefully he didn’t end up having to rely on Aquamarine to keep him alive. “I’ll see what I can do with contacting the others, but they might be as eager to go back into the Rift or help Axinite as they were before. But I don’t want anyone eager, I want people on this mission who will do the job right. I don’t have time to babysit anyone who doesn’t know what they’re doing already, especially in the Rift,” Jet said as he took a step back now that it seemed as though everyone was departing.
“We’ll probably want to have agents who are able to use their communicators with you when we start. Seems kind of like a flaw in the plan if we can’t get in contact with you,” Jet pointed out. Not being able to use a communicator because it was going to melt seemed annoying enough. Not being able to get in touch was even moreso.

Aquamarine scrutinized Faustite for the first time since arriving. Faustite’s features were obvious, but Aquamarine hadn’t bothered to consider any of the potential consequences of them. His expression almost puckered, but he managed to hold it back for the sake of being nice.
So far, Faustite didn’t seem bothersome or unintelligent. He wasn’t deserving of Aquamarine’s derision or disgust.
Not yet, anyway.
“Try one of the old communicators, if you haven’t yet,” Aquamarine said. “If any of them are even still around. They might have a higher melting point. Unless they don’t work with the new ones. I wouldn’t know, I’ve never had a reason to bother.”
Even that minor bit of potentially unsound input was too much kindness for him. Aquamarine huffed out a breath and turned, throwing a careless wave over his shoulder.
“If that’s all…”
There were things to do, preparations to be made, information to go over as they collected enough agents. Perhaps Aquamarine would submit his new Lieutenant for consideration, give him this opportunity to prove himself, the belligerent b*****d.
