"You miss the crux of my question," Faustite answered Albite, annoyed. Don't try to make me look like an idiot if you don't know why I'm asking, his glare said, as he tossed it over his shoulder.

So he was able to reach senshi worlds, and possibly knight wonders. Shoplift whatever was left of them and leave. That starstone was his key to traveling about.

Faustite shook his head. "Can't travel off Earth. Want to, though — couple places up there with our names on them. Few more places I'd like to see again, too." He looked skyward; the cosmos hadn't opened its doors to them, and he wondered if the Negaverse was somehow restricted to Earth. For all their power, all their abilities, they couldn't infiltrate space and bring the war to the worlds. Couldn't suck dry the planets and wonders of all the knights and senshi that opposed them.

A whole different layer of war waited for them, so long as they found a way to reach space.

"If we help you find one, will you trade it to us?"

Not a youma, not a person, dragon then. He'd let the concept stick. If the pretty merchants people had a name for their species, he wasn't interested in asking for it. Easier to call people by their names anyhow, far less confusing that way.

The shrug for Faustites look, a slow curious blink, and a glance tossed between his boss and the little crystal that so held his interest. The thing that made Almadel far more a creature of the cosmos than Albite had ever felt like in his entire life. How could he possibly be offended by something he didn't truly understand? Which was everything beyond the small sphere in which he operated his daily affairs.

The stars were beyond him, and the idea of having them at his fingertips was beyond-beyond him. The slow dawning of realization for that - for Faustites wants. Curiosity thoroughly peaked now that Almadel seemed less on edge with the trades completed. The idea that Faustite had a goal in mind, perched like a cat, taking interest in things, talking. More than he ever spoke with Albite, and he'd been so tired it hadn't registered, or he'd figured the merchant was charming enough - pretty enough and with all his sparkling wares...

"Is that a thing, like, for real? Leaving here with one of those?" bright grin and obvious excitement as he hovered behind Faustite. "Cause..uh, hell yeah! If that's a thing to do..or find..or trade for, whatever. I mean, catching the wisps was super fun." he loved a good treasure hunt. If something like the stone really existed, and here on earth? If he could've actually seen the thing that held his namesake - and if Praxidike were barren and dead like how Almadel said the rest of space was..It'd still be something worth seeing though. Just to lay the itch to rest, finally let lie the idea of needing to know it could be seen. He'd never tried before.

“Oh, of course. If you help me find one, I’d be willing to trade it. They’re incredibly valuable,” he explained, “But I can’t say no to a good deal. And I suppose just knowing that there are some left would be worth it. Or, even better, to find someone who can make them. Of course, if you fail to maintain it, you should expect catastrophic damage,” he gestured vaguely.

“They’re made of massive power, crammed into a tiny stone. I can’t give the details, I don’t know them. But I know that if you aren’t properly taking care of them, they can turn into volatile little bombs. Well. They’re little, the explosion not so much. I’ve heard that they can take out whole stars.”

He didn’t really seem all that concerned about it though. “I’ll keep an eye out, though. Maybe, when I’m not so busy, we can barter something else. I get quite a lot of use out of mine. Maybe someday I won’t have such a heavy load and can take guests with me somewhere. Where is it that you two would like to go?”

A good deal. Albite thought with all of himself that they were a hell of a deal, a packaged deal. Himself and the caged fire lounging like a cat at a fish market. He was pure eagerness in form, focused only halfway on the conversation while his thoughts run amok through the field of his mind at the idea of - ‘s p a c e

Dragon alive was talking about space? Getting off the overpopulated rock of their births, getting a one shot slingshot chance at peering past the veil of the stars and going into space? Daddy of dragons had him at go. Wide eyed childlike hunger for exploration, beside himself with energy for the opportunity at the ultimate adventure - deepest dive that ever would’ve been.

He Knew the lilac draddy spoke of ‘catastrophe this’ and ‘damage that’ - skipped over all the words like a stone hurtled across an expanse of water - heard *power* and how ******** it up could be coupled with death.

‘Yeah - sure - fine - b l a h’ for what was death when paired with recantation and the list to live hard enough to make dying worth it. To make it good.

Also! Because mother ******** S p A c E!!? Who was he to care if the seeking of it blew him halfway to the sun - crisped his bits and took them all with it. It was far too good an offer to pass up.

“We’d take care of it! I’m good at caring!? Can totally do caring, cared all sorts for the orbies - like okay, space? We can do the space thing, yeah? Ooh, I could see Praxidike!” Chomped at the bit offered and eschewed all consequences with a tilt of his grin. Gave Faustite a pleading look - wondered where his boss would’ve gone, if he had travel goals, or if he just wanted to leave everyone else to ******** off and fry on whatever end the planet they inhabited.

Loft of brows for that — taking out whole stars. Neat trick, but worse for all of them if Almadel wouldn't grace them with how to control the H-bombs-in-a-box. Atom splitters, or whatever they were. Eion hated science, and he didn't want to start thinking scientifically about the magic they worked with, but often that was the only frame of reference presented to him.

"Tell us how to contact you —" Faustite started, but Albite opened his mouth and a disgusting amount of word salad fell out of it.

Could've told Albite to shut the ******** up, sit the ******** down, and let the adults speak, but he got to Praxidike, and earned a look from Faustite for it. Must've been his senshi name, cursed little collapse of syllables made to grate on Faustite's youma side. Ground his teeth for that. Gripped his grate between his fingers and squeezed until he felt the hot bite of metal bring him back to his sensibilities. Praxidike. Idiot, only looking for what's yours. Can't see past your own nose.

"Got a list of places," he replied with a flourish of his free hand. Leaned to and fro as he talked, as if trying to find a sweet spot for weight distribution on Almadel's table. "Encke, Lysithea, Kamacite's world, Castor, the Moon. Other galaxies. Can take me anywhere." Within reason, he supposed. As long as he could get back, or drain energy and whisk it off to Metallia.

"Just need to know how to get in touch."

“Oh-ho, you are a live one, aren’t you?” Almadel asked Albite, and made no effort to restrain the little laugh that fell from him. He flicked his wrist and produced a simple, glossy, black card. On one side, an ornate symbol that looked incredibly similar to a fingerprint. It was printed with a red, holographic ink.

On the other side, in opalescent ink, a single word in elegant script: Almadel.

"A drop of blood," he said, nodding to the card. "...Press your finger into it. I find, appointments are best made when I know I'm dealing with a serious client, so please forgive the dramatics. It’ll only work once, so make it count."

He smiled, and held the card out for Faustite between two fingers.

“I look forward to seeing you again.”

Lively, like a wire that surged with electricity run through it. Albites gaze widened with his smile. Scalpel edged thing of joy that could cut, would cut, for the note of how Almaondjoy passed the card over to Faustite specifically. Could wonder at Faustite's laundry list of places to go - he could want for that - a whole bevy of stars and space places to explore.

Never had he been more pleased to be tagging along, sidecar to the fireside chat that his Firebrand was clearly in charge of - should've trusted him to know s**t and ask for all the right things. Always.

"So cool.." fidgeted in place as he watched the changing of hands. Heard the terms attached to the little black piece of intrigue. Shiny - exotic...

Blip of a thought that followed that for how Almadel suddenly seemed far more devil than dragon. Seemed Incubus'ly other with his flirting, with his demand of blood in pact and payment for his summons. Screamed 'Demon Daddy' now more than ever, and Albite nearly laughed with how wrong he'd gotten it with his first impression.

He'd seen the curl of horns, the draping's of dark purples, the slender forked tail. He'd thought fantasy Drogon dropped down into human form. Now, he wondered how much of that was a guise? How much of it was real? If he touched him would he feel cool sleek flesh, or grating scale? Find a Dragon or a Devil? If he ran into the guy while he was on his home turf, would he look so glittery and appealing; with the sheen of glitzy horn with a smile that reflected charm like a finely polished mirror.

Albite wasn't so sure. Didn't matter though, not now that he was fully invested in the endeavor. Would see Faustite have his way with things, whatever that entailed.

Faustite accepted the card. only partly surprised that it didn't burn in his touch, he flipped it over and scrutinized the strangeness of it. As an agent, he never suffered any categories for magic — never knew much about magical artifacts, their craft, or their invention. But, as he looked over the card, as he thought about the handful of strange things he handled over the years, he wished for more information on how that one was made.

The card was dismissed for subspace. Then Faustite looked to Almadel, who betrayed no information on how that card was made.

Then he looked to Albite, whose jaw was currently lying on the floor, completely unhinged and unusable for once. They hadn't known each other long, but Faustite couldn't recall a time where the senshi had ever been silent before, and this was as close to silent as he thought Albite could get without exploding. That, alone, was worth the trip.

"See you when I find something worth a blood sacrifice, then." Faustite slid off the table, started toward Albite and felt a little wary for turning his back to the merchant. He hadn't done anything untoward, though, and Faustite wondered if his skepticisms were due to typifying merchants as the greasy, slippery types.

"Interesting meeting you, Almadel." As he passed Albite, he beckoned for the boy to follow. "Give him space to play with his balls."

"Actually Firebrand, I think their wisps? Whatever ---" turned to follow with a bounce in his step, feeling more energetic than when he'd gotten there. Excited for future prospects and blood-pacts that would open portals to space-hell.

Albite was all about it.

Ready almost, to take a spoon and go digging for star fragments, or crystals, or half youma and offer them up in effigy. Since Almadel seemed to be into that sort of thing, or at least, into one of them that was a sort of a thing. Not that Albite could blame the guy. They both had the same good taste in people, clearly.

Remembered briefly his manners, as he trotted along hound to heel at Faustites call, to turn and thank Almadel one more time for the boon. Resonant little clack of shells that resounded with his eager movements.

"Bye orbies! Bye almondaddy! Thanks for the gifts, yeah? Well see you 'round!" good to meet him, good to heed the fire at his side n' get out while the getting was good.
