The compliment, especially from someone that had done this already, went straight to her head. It was a lucky thing they didn't live anywhere snowfall held as common weather. Einsol's beaming might have blinded someone if they lived in their father's icy homelands. But now was the time to be settling down. Like her twin, slim blue legs folded up, finding themselves a nice comfy spot to plant her. Their elder knew more about this than either twin, so there wasn't much else to be done. The ocean took care of her urges to move anyhow.

Well. Until Thal brought up storytime. That brought her attention* whipping straight around to him. A good tale, as with most children, could glue her to one location. Not one specific spot, mind, but she would stick around until the talespinner finished and been thanked. Even if Ushiwa and his sister could get... rowdy at times, they'd absorbed the lessons on manners pretty firmly. Especially since half of those applied to the animals at home anyway, and they did more than swat your rump for rudeness. As it sat... "Can we both ask fer one? Or are we tellin' stories, too?!"

*(Followed shortly by a pair of bright yellow eyes.)

Thallassa 6

“Too right little Miss, you and your brother will join me in the tale weaving since that is tradition and its half the fun!” Besides if he told it all it would get boring. He bet these two had something up their sleeves. Honi was about the only member of the family that didnt have some sort of edge to them. She was truly the sweetest. Ny was scary, Mom and Dad was scary, he himself was nice but crafty too. The twins well.. they were the twins.

He started into a story about a Princess who preferred to stay with the dragon until someone figured out it was a book she had wanted as a bridal gift the whole time.. hello stuck in the same tower for years kinda need new reading material.

Ushiwa 7

Ushi's eyes crinkled with merriment, his sister had not disappointed and he did his best to add on to her story with an appropriately exciting ending for the characters that his sweet sister had lovingly created. He made it so the child smartly outwitted the monster, with adequate flare, before escaping the island to new adventures.

He was wrung out by the time the story was done. He looked expectantly at their older brother.

Ushi had remembered! He preferred a big ol' fight when monsters were involved, or enemy soldiers, or some such. Einsol, by comparison, much preferred to treat them as puzzles, something to be tangled up by wit so they didn't hurt anyone anymore. Or could come home as a new friend! This worked just fine. Grinning bright enough to cause sunburn was not a thing mortal folk were capable of. If Thallassa knew his siblings at all, he'd know that nothing was stopping the girl-child from trying. Especially now that they'd been praised twice in the last half-hour. "Hee!"

Between fish heads and time gobbled up by stories, there had been opportunities for living fish to come a-looking. As she turned to look back at the sea, she noticed her brother's line starting to move a bit more. "Ushi! Y'got somethin!"

He had been hoping this would happen and he laughed gleefully, Ushi was never this uncomposed. He could see the pure glee in his little brother's face and was glad that he could be a part of it.

"Hang onto your rod," he advised Einsol, just in case she lost focus because of all the excitement her brother was exuding all over the place.

"Hold it up Ushi, yes just like that, now brace yourself and reel! Atta boy!"

He hugged Einsol to him in his own glee. Needing the familial support. This was so much fun!

"Go little bro!"

Ushiwa 9

He fought with the fish, using his brother's strong voice as the guidance he needed. He brought the piscene close to the boat before yanking it up out of the water and over the side of the boat where it flopped about in distress. He had never seen a more beautiful or fun thing. He had done it, his first sucessful fishing trip!

He danced around in joy while the fish flopped as well. Vaguely he realized that there was a scuffle going on where his siblings were. Were they fighting? He could see a little blood.

"Uh, you guys okay?"

"Good goin', Ushi!" Between her own whoops of excitement, her brother's, and a slight case of tunnel vision, Einsol barely noticed the bonk to her noggin. She was too caught up in hauling her catch in. Sadly, as might be expected, her first bite didn't manage to land the catch; her layered knots had only delayed the inevitable. The roe-pouch slipped, and the hook came loose around a meter out. A sudden lack of resistance saw the girl's pulling turn to falling back onto the deck. "Oof!"

It was here that the situation cleared. The smell of blood hit her before the sight. Thal's muffled speech, Ushiwa's confusion, the cloth on the elder's face, things clicked together in her head like clockwork. "Thal', what's wrong? Did I hit'cha too hard? I'm sorry, lemme see." All but ignoring her rod, she rolled up to her knees and kipped to her feet. Small blue hands, meanwhile, reached up. You weren't supposed to sew tongues back together, so maybe..."

"Its alright Einsol, I'll be fine," obligingly he brought his head down to her level. He didn't know how anyone could be mad at her for long. Just so cute.

"Good job on your first bite there girl, hold the rod just a little higher next time and I bet you will win." He winked at her. He was a mess but the bleeding had stopped. His mouth tasted horribly metallic and he might not be tasting all that much for a while but hey, they had both at least had a bite (fish..not tongues).

"Ushi's fish will feed us tonight!" It might not feed them all but if they all took a few bites at least it would be symbolic.
