“Traveling.” Admitted Verosh after a thoughtful pause. “My father asked me to trade for supplies that can only be found in the region. I’m traveling back to Jahaur soon enough.” His pale blue gaze swept towards Jhin as if studying him. “You’re traveling then?” Of course he was. Why would another man have to take pause in this clearing after all? It wasn’t as if a settlement was nearby and Verosh didn’t see any small homes along the way.

Ah, that made sense. “If you need help finding anything please let me know.” Jhin managed with a smile. “It would be a thank you for the help tonight.” This meeting had saved him precious time from gathering and had allowed him to actually relax after a long day of flight and patrols. The question sent back to him had the archer nodding. “Yes, I’m going to Oba on business.” He managed with a shrug. “I miscalculated when it came to bringing food so I was prepared to hunt tonight but this is nice.” Even if he was trying to be more open there were certain details best not shared to any stranger...just in case.

“I should be fine, but thank you.” Verosh had already visited his father’s family and had gathered what was on the list. Had he not been doing this for the past three years then perhaps he would have been more eager to accept aid but for now the proud man was confident in his own ability to gather supplies. At least the earthling wasn’t lazy and willing to offer aid in return for a meal. That much Verosh could appreciate him for. “I see. Then feel free to eat as much as you’d like.” Verosh glanced back towards the fire and after rotating the meat one last time he pulled it from the fire along with some roasted nuts he had kept at the base of the firepit. Slicing off a large piece for himself he sliced and held out another piece towards Jhin. “Here.”

“Ah, thank you.” Jhin nodded as he took the meat and both of them settled into a comfortable silence of just eating as the sun started to sink into the horizon behind them. Eventually he would have to whistle for his kinfa and head back to camp for an evening patrol but this….this was a nice break away from everything and everyone else. If he was ever in Jahaur he would perhaps have to keep an eye out for this Verosh to maybe return the favor one day.

Verosh enjoyed the silence of their meal. Sometimes earthlings were super chatty but this other man for the most part was quiet. It made the hybrid content with his decision to offer a meal and he thanked Aisha that everything had gone well. The hunt had been decent, the gathering mission itself had gone smoothly and now soon enough he could rest up and in the morning head back home to Jahaur. Let’s pray for a peaceful night for both of us, regardless of our different destinations.
