Jhin just watched in amazement as the child seemingly won over more strangers. Apparently if one was cute enough they could get away with a lot. The very thought brought a small grin of amusement to his lips before he shook his head and followed along past the couple and towards the market. "I'll keep my lips sealed for you." He promised playfully before nodding at the statement. "It's true. She's so big that I usually keep her outside of any cities since she bumps into things. She prefers to rest up while I take care of business." Even now she was probably nesting along the borders, somewhere cooler where she could relax while he sweated in the desert heat. At least he could trust Aella to return to him whenever he blew the whistle hidden under his tunic that was on a cord around his neck.
And then there was a crowd and he knew that they were truly close to the markets. "He's tall and almost like a pointy stick with how sharp his features are. He's from Tale though so he's darker with short brown hair and green eyes." Commented Jhin as he kept an eye out for said person, "What about you? How many items are on that list of yours?"

That was probably the biggest bird he'd ever heard of! A lot bigger than Meeki would ever get, but in all honesty, Sekani preferred it that way. He wouldn't want his best friend to get bigger than cuddle size. How else would he snuggle up and go to sleep?
"A tall, pointy stick..." Sekani tried to mentally visualize what that sort of man would look like, especially given that he didn't exactly look like Jhin and drew up short between Oban and a snap trotter. "It looks like....four. No, wait, five, this one has two kinds on it. I need to get fish for dinner, some vegetables, some kind of powder, food for Meeki and...oh, this is a gift for Papa!"

"Yes, if anything I'll know him when I hear him." His friend definitely was not one for keeping quiet and Jhin wouldn't be surprised if he had taken a detour into some tavern along the way. His pale blue gaze surveyed the area before he gave up and looked back to Sekani. "How about I help you out with your list and get some things for myself at the same time? I'm sure we'll run into my friend along the way since he should be in this area." And if not? Well the leaf earthling would be getting an earful whenever Jhin did finally locate him.

"If you're sure. You don't have to stay if you need to be fast. I'm not a fast shopper." He didn't necessarily dawdle, per se, but his legs were short and sometimes it was hard convincing vendors that his coins were real and not made of taffy.
Still, he couldn't help the way his smile brightened at the thought of having someone along for his adventure. Sekani always did best with friends and family around, so this was nice. He reached up for Jhin's hand, just as he'd done with his elder siblings and parents dozens of times and looked at his list. "Okay, well, we should probably go over there first for the powder and get the fish last because it stinks."

"I was just waiting around anyways so this will be more fun." Jhin confessed as he followed along, his surprise only slowing him momentarily before he took the youngling's hand. It was strange to think about how familiar this felt when he hadn't truly visited his family in over a year. Perhaps its time I go to visit. He had gotten so wrapped up within his role and the forest that he hadn't taken the time to actually go and see his cousins and father. Guilt flashed across his expression before he focused back on the task at hand. "That's probably a good idea. I'll let you know if we spot my friend but for now lead the way and let's get all of these items." He commented with a supportive smile as he prepared to spend the rest of the afternoon shopping around with Sekani.
