"I know. Grandpa Uquin has magic, and so does Padma." She'd certainly had a variety of other paths she could have taken, but none of them suited her. "My earthling blood is a mess. I love my family, but I don't understand why they are the way they are so I didn't want to be like them. I've been training personally with a sister whose seen magic like mine before. She's confident that she can help me."

She hadn't told Ujiri her biggest secret though; that she would likely move away from home any day now. Not as far as the others, but still...She felt that any distance away from him would only set her twin off so as brave as Ika had been she was still scared to bring it up.

Maybe...maybe she should ask Subira about it? Or Mama Ariya. She'd probably be best since she was the only one he wasn't mad at.

"So, did you come back with a kid? Seems like every time someone disappears they come back with a baby."

She smiled at Ika as she mentioned Uquin and Padma. Subira had honestly forgotten that their Aunt Padma had magic. Not that anyone could blame her, she hardly knew the woman. Perhaps she could remedy that now that she was older. "Glad to hear that you have a sister willing to help you out. Having the gift of magic before hand will give you an advantage." Subira had to work on hers since it wasn't a natural talent.

The mention of a kid made Subira tilt her head slightly so that her antennae fell to the one side. "Uhm, no. No kids for me. I didn't meet anyone that I felt I could seek that gift with." While she had babysat and offered to help out with kids here and there she'd never actually asked for any of her own.

She looked toward Ujiri with a bit of concern to see his reaction but said nothing. She didn't want to push her luck with him just yet.

As his sister kept up with the explanation about kids he made a slightly distressed noise. It wasn't Ika's fault. She didn't know what was going through his head. Though she did have points. It wasn't a weird question given his family's odd track record.

Ujiri finally gave his twin a look of horror when he mentioned that Subira truly didn't need someone else to have a kid. "Okay stop that.. I am going to have nightmares as is.." He muttered lowly. A small shudder ran through him.

When she reached for him and thankfully changed the subject he took her hand and decided to attempt to forget the conversation. "Whatever. Bet I can beat you at some games." Ujiri seemed to also ignore the comment made about their older sister joining them if she wanted to.

Ujiri was being such a baby about this! Frustrated by his noises, she reached over and gave her twin a hard pinch on the arm. "Oh, hush." Whose to say I won't turn my back on you and you'll have a kid? Or me, for that matter? It's not like it's hard.

At least the two of them would never have to worry about earthling birth in the future. Ujana had already talked to her about it in the early years of puberty and it wasn't something Ika wanted to think about ever again.

Looking over to Subira, Ika rolled her eyes and gave a pompous grin. "Why wonder? You already know who the winners going to be."
