Laike nodded. As popular as the Soulsborne series was, and as influential for how so many other games popped off as Souls lite, they were still a fringe series for a reason. Not everybody had fun by being challenged to their wit's end. Laike liked them, though.
He wasn't sure why the question caught him off guard in hindsight, but it did, and he flushed a bit around the neck. "O-oh, right. I'm trying to change the name, so right now it's Laike-fifteen-thirty-three. I'm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, but sometimes I stream other days, too. Wednesday is kind of, uh…" How should he phrase it without sounding corny? "Like a retro day, where I go back to games I've played. Usually it's just SoulsBorne stuff." He'd started getting into speedrunning Bloodborne, at least — the addiction had spread that far.
It was weird, he thought, to be advertising his channel to someone he could look at. Anyone else, everyone else, was just an internet handle. He knew what some of his followers looked like because they also had channels, and he'd watched those channels, but they were still just images on a screen. Images not directly interacting with him.
But this? Wearing a Guitar Hero controller, and talking to a Real Human Being about his channel? That was way less anonymous than he was used to.
"I'm gonna… Go grab a drink," he decided, as he holstered the controller in its tines. By 'grab a drink', he meant leave, because he was having a Whole Nerve about this and hopefully Demy wasn't thirsty, too.Demy-Stardust omg he's people'd for so long! good job, schee!/quote]

Demy looked absolutely delighted! That name didn't bother him at all. Sure, it was the more basic way of naming one's channel but that wasn't a reflection on the talent within. Besides, if Laike was looking into changing it he must be working on a 'better' name. Just meant he needed to follow him quick before that name change happened, huh?
"Sounds like a pretty sweet schedule. It can be super nice replaying older games you still love."
Like him, for example, playing Guitar Hero until the end of time.
Laike really lucked out though. As he holstered the controller and left to get a drink Demy stayed put at the machine. Seems like he wasn't quite ready for a break himself.
"Oh yeah, enjoy the drink man! I'll see you in a bit."
Don't worry Laike, he was already entertaining himself once more by playing the game. If escape was really the other boy's plan, well...this was the perfect opportunity for it.
