And now they were going for a walk. He had been hoping for a lounge about the water type day but well now he was excited and couldn't sit still either.

"Lead on, Captain." He giggle snorted and hoped that no one but Ikaika had heard it because it was oh so undignified but it always made his mate smile so bright when he did it.

They got their food and munched it in the shallows. Baiting the smaller fish into getting closer because they were impossibly cute and colorful.

"Before I knew you, no."

He smiled, "But it did not take much time once I met you and we became so close, that a future without you in it, just seemed so bleak."

"After you didn't run I knew that with how stubborn you were, that you likely wouldn't. Then you proved me quite right. In doing so you really inspired me to be the best that I could be to finally stand up to my family."

"I think I feel a storm rolling in, do you by chance want to dance in the rain with me?"

It was one of his many hidden joys. He only let a very few trusted people see him at his most vulnerable with no walls or fake disinterested facade. With Ikaika he could let it all go and just live in the moment.

So he was forever hooked.
