Daire laughed when she snatched her hand away, and even if he felt his head swimming from the sudden, rapid loss of energy, it didn’t seem to do anything to deter him. He followed her now, and there was a little skip in his step as he made an effort to keep up.
“Why? Are you afraid a beautiful woman might steal my heart while I’m lost in her eye?”
He spoke playfully, but there was something a little insistent on it, and he didn’t seem completely flippant about his comment at all. There was no denying that he was interested in the things that Eris was saying, just as he was interested in her in general.
He was looking for something in the museum and he hadn’t found it there.
And now, he had the strangest thought that maybe he could find it with her.

His words sat in her stomach almost like a pit, but not quite as heavy. Honestly Eris, even in her normal life, had almost completely given up on finding anyone compatible with her enough to even flirt with anymore. She did slow down when he talked, but when he finished, she continued on her way and just ducked behind her bangs, glad that she still had that with the magic glamor. "There are not only people who are monsters you should worry about, but literal monsters also." Youma wouldn't care. They would do as they were bid. Attack humans, steal their energy more ruthlessly than an agent or a senshi would. Instinct was to take off. To just jump back onto a building and disappear, especially after his comment made her feel so awkward. Her face was completely red. This wasn't good for her heart.

“Ah,” he said, as if he understood. He nodded, to further the point. “Well, none of them have caught me yet. But if you’ve got any tips, we should meet up and discuss them over coffee.”
It might have been dark, but he was certain he could se the bit of color splashed across her cheeks, and maybe it was cruel to enjoy flustering her but he didn’t seem to be doing it maliciously or facetiously. She was pretty, and unique, and special.
He might not have completely understood the strange things he saw in the late hours of the night, but he knew there was something going on. A separate world colliding with the known, and he was treading the line between both and had been for a while. Only, he’d never been close enough to touch this other world he thought he saw, in darkness and shadow and solitude.
And yet, she was so close that he could have reached over and grabbed her hand if he wanted to.

It took her a moment or two to calm down, but once she had, she looked over at him again and sighed. "You are something else. I do not know about coffee..." Did she really want to meet up with him again? She supposed if things went wrongly she'd drain him and put him somewhere he'd be found very easily, then avoid him forever after that. It wouldn't be that hard, would it? She hummed to herself and then shrugged. "I ... You can meet me in the cemetery." Unlike with her friend, she wouldn't specify bringing anything. It was just a meeting to talk after all. I do not know if it would be productive, since I've never... tried to save anyone."

He blinked at this but seemed only briefly taken aback by the suggestion. If she’d offered to meet him at the cemetery to try and scare him away, it didn’t work. Instead, he was intrigued.
“Alright,” he agreed, after very briefly mulling over the suggestion.
“Then, I’ll meet you in the cemetery.” It sounded just as weird saying it as it had hearing it, but now he’d promised and he was committed to following through.
“What time, my Goddess?”

"Okay, that--" She cut herself off and sighed, playing with her bangs after a moment. Nope, that was fine. She was no goddess and he'd learn that eventually. She was far, far from that. However, it was just a nickname, so she shouldn't get worked up over it. Damn him for getting under her skin just a bit. "Ten in two days? Ten at night." Eris said it slowly, as if she was trying to figure out her own schedule. "That should be better for me." Was she really going to meet up with him for tips? It was less a tactic to scare him, and more just meeting somewhere not many went to. So she didn't have to worry about looking over her shoulder. Part of her doubted it, but she was going to come prepared. Maybe offer him a spot on their side of this war. Glancing back at him, she tilted her head. "Sound okay?"

He laughed softly, in good spirits, and nodded. “Sounds wonderful. I’ll be there.”
Ten at night, in a graveyard, with a woman who shared the name with a Goddess of Strife.
A beautiful, mysterious, compelling woman, of course. Who hadn’t jumped to call the police when she’d seen him crawling out of a museum well after hours.
The smile lingered on his face and he gave her one last look over before he raised his hand in a wave. “It’s a date, then. Goodnight, Eris.”
