Gael
He thought about it for a second then looked toward the door. He was going over which ships were in port at the moment. There were a few he could think of that were going that way and one that actually was from Belrea. “There are a few but you’ll need a good word put in with the captains. They already have a full crew so taking on an extra hand isn’t something they’ll want to do.” Most captains wouldn’t take a newbie either.

“Please.. can you put in a good word for me?” If he got the word of Gael then he would surely be allowed on any ship. The man was trusted by several captains and almost crewmember on every ship in port knew of him. It had been all of them who told him to look for Gael in the first place. “If its your word then I can get on a ship.”

He sighed. The boy was making it hard to tell him no. But if he didn’t know the kid’s work ethic then he couldn’t just offer him to any ship. Since he was a newbie, fresh off the land then he would need to put him with someone who was patient and wouldn’t toss him overboard the first chance they got. “I think I have a ship in mind. But you need to be willing to do what they tell you.”

He nodded his head again, this time with a smile. If Gael had something in mind then he was willing to do it. The man could get him what he needed and he needed to be on a ship to Belrea so he could search for his sister. His father too but his little sister needed his help and protection the most. “Right. I’ll do it.” Hard work wasn’t something he was afraid of.

He leaned back in the booth and brought a hand over his face gently. He was going to owe a favor after this and he wasn’t even sure if it was worth it. If the kid didn’t find his family then it would be all for nothing. He hoped the boy found what he was looking for and he prayed it was a positive answer. “Let me finish my letter then I’ll take you to meet the captain.”
