"A thick cloak, hmm? Obviously to keep me from melting the snow with my very presence." Teased Tytus as he kept his gaze on the Alkidike. He hadn't wanted to pry when she mentioned the Matori that had left her because he hated making anyone remember such pains unless they needed to talk so instead he had resorted to joking more to try and lighten her mood. Even Tytus struggled when talking about his own past and the slow divide that had pushed him away from what he had. But now that there were so many children being mentioned he couldn't help being more curious about Dem's history. He wasn't overwhelmed by the idea of multiple children as he had his own because of a past relationship but it was curious to hear about an Alkidike with children in several earthling countries. "I suppose if you need company while tracking them all down I can help. Are all of these children by blood? That is, if you don't mind me asking." A slight flush decorated his own cheeks as he realized his slip up into her more personal life. Would she even want to share such details so soon? But then again if they were traveling together....surely it would come about eventually?

"Bless the one that makes you settle down since they'll be a winner for certain." Replied Tytus with a smile, "Honestly, I'd think that it would be enjoyable to travel for a long time. Roaming has been nice for the most part but maybe one day in the far future I could imagine settling down with a small manor somewhere along the borders of Oba and Matori." It would be nice to retire there now that he had played his role in the military and felt finished with staying within the pressuring walls of Sulburi.

"Mm, well it would save the snow as well." A not so direct way of saying the man was attractive. Dem had no issues with confirming someone looked good. In the small pause between that and his next words she looked down at her familiar to see that he was yawning lazily as he watched the other beasts nearby. As Tytus gave his reply she looked back at him and caught sight of his flushed cheeks.

A brow twitched upward as she looked at him then a smirk slowly spread across her lips. In another moment she was leaning forward, invading his personal space as she licked her lips. "Hm..? Now why would your cheeks burn after asking that?" It wouldn't be the first time someone would think or say something in regards to her children. Usually they wanted to know how many lovers she had. Her head tilted to the side and she angled so that she was by the Oban's ear. "Are you thinking something you shouldn't be?" Another tease but this one not so indirect.

Dem went back to sitting as she had been, laughing as she shook her head at Tytus. "Only two are mine by blood. The others I adotped because they had no one else to care for them. The healer in Matori is a Fire and Water hybrid that I found on the streets all bruised up. I gave her a name and a happy home and raised her to be who she wanted to be. The son in Zena is another hybrid, he is actually there visiting his birth family. I took him in when he was a teenager. There is an Oban boy around here that I check in on from time to time as well." V'demhe wasn't ashamed of what she did or that all her children weren't bloomed. In her eyes they were all gifted to her by Aisha and they needed someone to look after them. It just so happened that her Mother Tree saw fit to give her children in another way.

"So don't worry.. There will be no jealous lover that will try to attack you for traveling with me." Dem found amusement in that thought really. "Even if there was.. I would protect you." She smirked at him like he was a damsel that needed saving, amusement still lit across her face.

Tytus let out a laugh. "Oh yes! It would be a shame to waste away all of Zena's fine snow, right?" He found himself smiling, the light in his eyes slightly returning as he kept making fun commentary with the Alkidike warrior. Honestly though despite the flirtations it was the question that made him flustered. Tytus could only shake his head as he tried to brush it off. "Well, it's sometimes a bit too much to ask especially considering what you told me." The earthling quickly shook his head before waving off her question, his body reflectively moving to the side as he reached up to playfully flick a finger in front of her face. "It's more so that I don't want to upset you by asking personal questions, not anything perverted like that. I know some about your culture and how you receive blooms though so it was interesting to hear about so many children." He explained though his cheeks stayed a bit flushed even as the Alkidike pulled away. He did know another Alkidike after all and some about their culture from spending so much time in Jahaur. Obviously most came from blooms, so it was more just him being curious about her and what type of relationships she must have had to gather so many children.

"Ah, I see." Tytus let out a chuckle. "I guess I got a bit carried away wondering how many blooms you had asked for." He found himself teasing as it seemed Dem wasn't upset at him for asking and rather willing to share information instead. "It sounds like you're a good mother for them then." Mused Tytus, his expression shifting almost guiltily as he found himself letting a little bit of his thoughts slip away from him. "I was so busy that I never got the chance really...but good to know that there won't be jealous lovers!" He bounced back with a grin. "Though I do enjoy the idea of being protected. Would you carry me away should I get injured? I'm a rather delicate earthling sometimes after all."

"Though speaking of delicate earthlings I should probably finish resting up so that I can keep up with you as we travel along."

She really couldn't help the laughter she gave at seeing him flustered, even for a second. Dem had to admit she might be messing with the man just a bit too much. "Well thank you for being so considerate, but I doubt you could upset me by asking something." The Alkidike was a bit more on the laid back side when she wasn't in an actual battle. And even then her policy tended to lean toward the non-fatal side of things.

"I only asked for one bloom though I was gifted two. I never went back to ask for more after I was left.." V'demhe never could bring herself to go back and ask Aisha for another bloom. Not by herself. She'd thought about it, wanting to fill that void she felt. But then she'd had children who were left alone in the world just dropped into her lap and she gladly took them in instead. They didn't replace what she'd lost but that wasn't the point. They brought her joy. "I might gain the courage to ask for more one day." As for being a good mother.. she hoped so. Dem did what she could for all of them.

"Hmn? Certainly. Would you prefer the gentle bridal carry or the rough manhandling of being slung over my shoulder?" She smirked at him. She might be taller than Tytus but he didn't look very delicate to her. When he said he should rest more she motioned with her hand for him to carry on since she was in no hurry. For now she was enjoying the down time and company.

"I'll keep that in mind." Replied Tytus with a lazy grin. At least that was one less thing to worry about! He would have to try to be more open in turn if their travels went well. At least he wouldn't have to worry about boredom while he traveled Tendaji now. The very thought kept his gaze light as he leaned back against the ground, his hands tucked under his head as he studied the sky. With some good company alongside of him and the rare cool breeze sweeping across the waters and kissing his skin the earthling was truly enjoying himself.

"Then I wish you the best of luck if so. I hear it's an interesting process...especially if an earthling is involved." Tytus smiled as he recalled the Alkidike who had shared her stories about her Oban soldier back in Neued with him. Strange indeed to think that he would run into this type of situation after having a conversation like that. Either way all Tytus could do was laugh at the question from Dem. "Normally I would say dealer's choice but I do rather enjoy the idea of the bridal style. That would be an amusing image indeed." Tytus teased before letting his eyes close for a quick moment so that he could fully enjoy the warmth of the sun that was soaking into his skin. "But I suppose we'll just see what happens if the situation calls for it...." He mused as he rested for a bit so that he could look forward to the journey waiting for them.
