"Just placements. You gave them enough room, but just wanna make sure you're good with where the- You!" Yokka stopped mid-sentence to pivot and point at someone walking on board. "Did you get it?"
A young lightning man held up the box with pride. "It plus a little extra!"
Yokka sighed with relief. "You know where it goes. I'll be there in a few minutes. Busy here." She turned back to Ephrym, paused, and got her mind back on track. "Anyway, wanna make sure you're good with the final placements. We talked about it before, but sometimes it looks different in person. We've got it all set up, but not secured yet." She rolled her eyes slightly. "And some of your more gent-eeel crew with the individual cabins insist that their spaces aren't big enough. Of course, my opinion doesn't mean squat to them, so just need you to tell me the rooms are fine so I can tell them to shut it."

"Good with the....you?" Ephrym tilted his head and blinked in confusion before he realized the transition. "Of course." He chuckled before waiting for her to turn back towards him. The hybrid couldn't resist rolling his eyes at the complaints in return. "Most of those complaining are prob the temporary ones so they'll have to deal." He had gone over the plans himself and even sacrificed some of his own space to help with the others. They weren't exactly a passenger vessel and only had a few select rooms to maybe rent out in the future while their main purpose was for transporting merchandise. Ephrym wasn't the type to always cater to the whims of others and so it was much easier to be free while out on the ocean and then deal with any clients once they were back on shore to barter. "If anything feel free to make your own cabin however you'd like and cut some corners on theirs if they keep it up." He quipped though his expression was honestly serious for once. There were few things that truly bothered Ephrym but the whines of entitled scrubs did tend to get under his skin on occasion.

Despite her irritation with the snobs, Yokka just gave a shrug. She was there to make sure the ship worked, not that it was super comfortable. Hearing they were temporary boarders was a relief.
"Oh, I already made mine perfectly," she said with a laugh. "I assure you, it didn't require any corner cutting for anywhere else though." Her own room was minimalist and cozy. It was almost a good thing she had chosen a small apartment; going right into a small cabin from the open fields of home might have been too much! Just a little space to herself for sleeping and getting away from the others once in a while. "I do like the idea of telling them that the more they complain, the less they'll get... but I won't risk the funding they're giving like that. At least not until they get really snarky about it." She waved her hand dismissively. "Anyway, the regular quarters for the main crew. We can look at some of the other decks on the way as well. I'll try to avoid keeping you from your papers too long~" Yuck, paperwork... Another reason she preferred this end of the work.

"I'll hold ya to that." Ephrym replied with a grin. "I might have to check on it just to make certain though." He was mostly teasing even though he would have to do a walk through eventually just out of protocol. After watching how hard Yokka worked on things Ephrym didn't even dare to argue with her against anything she had decided upon. How could he? The Misty Maiden had never looked better since she had started helping out. His expression shifted at the thought of telling off some of the bigger complainers but he held his tongue for now. He could always convince them otherwise later on. After all talking circles around people and making them see things in a different light was a specialty of his indeed. Either way it was something he would deal with later. Right now Ephrym was focused on Yokka and checking out the regular quarters for the main crew. He did make a face though at her comment and waved a hand as if to brush it off. "No need to rush important matters. The paperwork can wait a bit longer."
After a moment he did pause though and turned so that he could study Yokka. "Honestly I also owe you a lot for all of this work. I really appreciate everything you've been doing, Yokka." Ephrym reached out a hand to pat her on the shoulder before turning away again. "Let's go check out those quarters and such, shall we?"

"You get one look, but then no one goes in there but me," she teased back, pushing her hair back over her shoulder in an excessively feminine manner. With all of her siblings and her current roommate, she didn't have much of a concern for privacy. The face he made brought up a smirk. It was nice to see Ephrym was still down to earth enough to realize paperwork stunk.
Yokka's brow cocked slightly with the next shift in the other's expression. That... was the most sincerity she had seen from him in, well, ever so far. After a bashful pause, she shook her head and waved her hand. "Hey, you're giving me work. I'd say it's pretty even." Moving on from the sentimental moment, she hurried to lead the way to the quarters for inspection. Back to business.
